1. London-based disc jockeys Justin Langlands and Dave Henley first met in 1986, at the peak of the house scene. Under the moniker Blood Brothers they became stalwarts of the genre. Pressure Drop was born with the singles Feeling Good (Big World, 1990), Back To Back (Big World, 1990), Trancefusion (Big World, 1990).
The style changed with the album Upset (Boombastic, 1992), one of the precursors of trip-hop, the praxis (guest singers, guest rappers, guest horn sections) if not the sound (You're Mine).
The singles Everything'll Be Alright Tomorrow, Big Noise and Unify led to Front Row (Marlboro, 1993), a much more subdued statement of work.
The Eps Tearing The Silence (Hard Hands, 1995) and Up Against The Wall (Wall Of Sound, 1995) were more daring with their dark and jazzy backgrounds.
The album Dusk (Cafe Del Mar, 1996)
A platoon of friends plays saxophone, flute, trumpet, harmonica, clarinet on Elusive (Hard Hands, 1997). Unfortunately the choice of singers (Anita Jarrett, Constantine Wier and Martin Fishley) is not the best. My Friend, Got To Be For Real , Silently Bad Minded expertly mix dub, exotica, bebop and Ennio Morricone.

Release the ones who know the truth
Lifted high to see the sun
Stolen child just can't fly
Lead us to higher ground
Come as you are
We are designed for life
Don't move away
It's time right now to make a stand
Love life dream don't look back at what could have been
Trust, lies, fear, don't be deaf to what you can hear
Have a taste of freedom food
Do you have another my friend?
To protect the lost from where they hide
Searching for the key inside
Come with me, come take my hand
It's time right now to make a stand
Love life dream don't look back at what could have been
Trust, lies, fear, don't be deaf to what you can hear
Fame, success, wealth, don't make your life the price of your health
Taste, sight, sound, don't let go of what your heart's found
Trust in the word
The lyrics to the song "Take My Hand" by Pressure Drop express a call to action for listeners to embrace the present moment, let go of past regrets, and pursue their dreams without fear. The song seems particularly focused on the idea of taking risks to find freedom, both in terms of personal growth and in terms of social justice. The opening lines ask listeners if they dream of "better days" and suggest that those who know the truth should be released to lead others to a brighter future. The theme of rising above struggles is continued in the line "lifted high to see the sun," which might suggest the importance of having a positive outlook on life and reaching for higher goals.
The song also touches on the idea of protecting the vulnerable and searching for truth. The lines "stolen child just can't fly," "protect the lost from where they hide," and "searching for the key inside" all suggest a desire to empower and uplift those who may be struggling or marginalized. The repeated plea to "take my hand" suggests that the singer wants to lead/support others in these efforts.
The lyrics also touch on the idea of balance and not getting lost in superficial pursuits. The lines "fame, success, wealth, don't make your life the price of your health" and "taste, sight, sound, don't let go of what your heart's found" suggest that it's important to pursue your passions without sacrificing your health or being seduced by temporary pleasures.
Overall, the song is a passionate call to action to embrace life and pursue dreams while staying grounded in truth, justice, and balance.
