Coming together in 1991, during the No More Tours supposed-retirement tour for Ozzy's No More Tears, the band was originally named Lynyrd Skynhead and included the former White Lion rhythm section of bassist James LoMenzo and drummer Greg D'Angelo alongside Wylde. Although credited solely as 'Zakk Wylde' solo tracks, this line-up actually released two individual recordings; a raucous Southern instrumental entitled "Farm Fiddlin'" on a compilation called Guitars That Rule the World (1991) and a cover of the blues-standard "Baby Please Don't Go" on the first L.A. Blues Authority compilation (1992).
In early 1994 D'Angelo was replaced by Brian Tichy, this was at the same time that the band changed their name to Pride & Glory, and by May released their self-titled debut - and only - album, on Geffen Records. In June of that year, the band performed as a main stage act at the Donington Monsters of Rock Festival in England. In November 1994 LoMenzo left after their tour of Japan, 3 days before the beginning of their US Tour. Zakk managed to find a replacement for James in his long time friend John 'J.D.' DeServio (Drill). The band played their last show on December 10th 1994 in Los Angeles in which Slash, guitarist of popular rock band Guns N' Roses (also signed to Geffen Records) played the songs Voodoo Child and Red House with the band. On January 31, 1998, the original Pride & Glory band reunited for a one-off reunion show at the Whiskey in Hollywood, CA. This momentous occasion was believed to be bootlegged, but no video has turned up anywhere.
Losin' Your Mind
Pride & Glory Lyrics

As I looked around my world be crumblin' down
What I saw, I couldn't believe, Who are you?
What might I be? Oh, the things you do
Stare at the sun, one means three
At the helm insanity, if you'd look Mama
Ya just might find but you're too far gone
Wanting to get away, one more fix you'll be okay
The things ya do, try and try to talk you down
You're so damn high, can't hear a sound
Oh, what's going on?
Once you start, you can't stop, start to shake
Fall apart, engine's burnin'
Burnin' out of time, you're too far gone
Now you're just losin' your mind
Pass through time without a move
You're the one that's being used
If you'd look you must might find
But you're too far gone, now you're just losin' your mind
The lyrics of Pride & Glory's song, "Losing Your Mind," revolve around the singer experiencing a personal crisis as their world crumbles around them. The opening lines convey the singer's shock as he wakes up to see his world crumbling before his eyes. The second line, "As I looked around my world be crumblin' down," indicates that he is in a state of shock and disorientation. He sees things that he doesn't understand, including his own identity and what it means to him.
As the song progresses, he begins to realize that he is in a state of madness. This is evident in lines such as "At the helm insanity, if you'd look Mama, Ya just might find but you're too far gone, Now you're just losin' your mind." Here, he starts to feel that he is losing his grip on reality, and his mind is slipping away from him.
The song's chorus reinforces the singer's sense of being adrift and the impossibility of finding his way back to reality. "Once you start, you can't stop, start to shake, Fall apart, engine's burnin' Burnin' out of time, you're too far gone, Now you're just losin' your mind" conveys that he is spiraling out of control.
Overall, "Losing Your Mind" captures a profound sense of desperation and confusion, with the lyrics conveying the singer's intense emotions and thought processes.
