Well OZZY is always going on about Randy Rhoads he was a gifted guitar player but he sounded like any other 80's hard rock guitarist to me. Zak did get pissed wit Ozzy in the late 90's or 2000's I guess Zakk was not available and Ozzy got this other guitarist and said he reminded him of Randy. Zakk said he was a little pissed because how Ozzy was going on about how this guy reminded him of Randy at this time Ozzy and Zakk were having different points of view on things.

First time I heard this song the bridge and chorus just blew my mind; I was like “That has to be Ozzy, that just has to be!!!!” I’ve got nothing but respect for Back Label Society; Thanks for understanding the coldest and hardest years of my life dealing with depression and losing the love of my life. I heard this song coming home after working the other day on Ozzy’s Boneyard (XM Radio) and just cried; it was cathartic, pain I hadn’t felt in years came to the surface and literally had nowhere to go but out. This observation is a painfully obvious trend to many, especially so to those with a preference for talented, genuine musicianship and song writing, who were conditioned in life to appreciate music. I dont believe that music snobbery, the opposing quality to one defined by a shallow exposure to, understanding of, and appreciation for music, is any more favorable, and honestly is far more off-putting. I think too many music trivia guru’s that believe that their subjective assessments of music are somehow best, even to the point of arguing their beliefs from the standpoint that they are empirical facts. Some of those people, dudes usually, get so deep into the belief of their own superiority as scholars of music knowledge that they end up making themselves look the most ignorant of all by speaking in a way that suggests that they dont understand, or have lost sight of what is and is not "subjective", as well as the fact that no one actually places any meaningful value on their opinions, anyway. Nothing personal, its just one of many types opinions that only really ever has value to the person holding it. It's pretty cringy watching some rock “purist” get red in the face while arguing over a subjective point when they believe their opinion is so absolute in its affirmation, or worse, when speaking disrespectfully about or to someone because of their ignorance or a false stance on some subjective point as "perceived" by the purist, that is. Hell, even when they are getting their panties twisted over someone’s imprecise or counterfactual statement concerning an actually objective point, their verbal and body language snobbery can be painfully cringy to witness. However, back to the point, most folks who have a relatively wholesome music appreciation are not music snobs, thankfully. All music enthusiasts, though, are outnumbered by the folks who don’t have a deeper understanding and appreciation of music. Typically, they are content to have their opinions and music taste formulated for them by the Hollywood/music machine’s corporate agenda. This is a capitalist country, and our mainstream culture is heavy-handedly influenced by this system. Im not saying capitalism is necessarily bad, not at all, and in many ways its healthy for the advancement of civilization so long as monopolization is gaurded against. Like most things in life, there are pros and cons, most choices in life, all that I can see anyway, are trade-offs of one kind or another. The music industry is not entirely controlled by some corporate mega monopoly, thankfully. However, it is majority controlled by a number of parties all competing for profit, and in prioritizing financial concerns, they can no longer afford to give much consideration to honest musical integrity and talent, not unless it comes packaged with the qualities and concerns relating to object marketability. They determine what sells and shamelessly exploit it to increase revenue, integrity and talent be damned. Most people are too inundated by the multitude of more pressing concerns, inherent to this modern life, and/or are simply too jaded and apathetic to bother putting forth the necessarily manual effort required to properly broaden their music exposure and consequently, appreciation of. Of course, this lack of motivation and effort won't do much to build on and may further exacerbate the already limited foundation of music exposure and appreciation they acquired growing up, as it applies. As far as an apathetic attitude toward music in general, we should also consider the vast spectrum of entertainment options available to people today. For most, there are simply far too many options available, at a practical, attainable level, for any one person to devote a full or even adequate level of interest in most or all of them. Some very amazing human beings, in fact, with admirable lives, including those who have achieved awe inspiring, headline making accomplishments, often have very little interest in or knowledge of music, of any genre. A person who truly excels at a particular task or skill often makes significant cuts and compromises to the variety of things that they are able take interest in, music included, in order to reach such extremes. Unfortunately, among the musically ignorant demographic that can link their musical ignorance to a limit of their ability place focus in/on, due to the demands of other interests, the majority of these circumstances are far and wide less noble than this, to put it quite kindly..

Worry about you my dude. Zakk doesn't feel insulted by his view count, so don't feel bad for him. If you really want to feel bad for someone, feel bad for the musically ignorant. I'm also willing to bet that it's safe to say Zakk doesn't evaluate his success or worth on such things, even if he has time to notice them in the first place, because Zakk knows damn well what time it is.

I used to headbang this song with my dad when I grew my hair out long at like 3 years old. Funny thing was, I couldn't speak because of my vocal cords not getting the vibrations they needed to produce sound for the first few years of my life due to be being born with incredibly weak lungs and vocal cords. I didnt speak for the first few years of my life, but then my dad played this for himself. I listened, loved it, and after a while i learned the words. My first words I ever spoke were part of the chorus "Stillborn, this I understand" and I vividly remember my dad watching me seeing it to myself, not realizing I was speaking the words. This song unlocked so much in me, from my love for music to my very voice. Thank you, Zakk Wylde. Thank you for giving me the strength to speak.

Ozzy and Zakk always make amazing music. They seem to be made for each other. While each have amazing talent on their own (Ozzy is the G-D of metal) and Zakk is definitely one of the BEST guitarists, songwriters, singers out there in the metal scene, they definitely are so special when they write/perform together. Well. I just discovered this. Because I’m a 49 year old mom to a thirteen year old boy who must have had baby brain when it came out. Ozzy was my first concert back in ‘89 when I was seventeen. He had a bad cold that night but said on stage he was still going to go on because he wasn’t an effing p-ssy.
Zakk was his guitarist then. Life comes full circle. Today I get to pretend it’s 2010, or 1989, and I’m still cool.

I always liked hard rock and metal growing up but hearing this song was different. I was 17 and my music tastes were changing. I heard this song on the radio and I was hooked. It sounded so refreshing at the time.

It's the song that got me into BLS and the song that forever made me a metalhead. 🤘

This dude has always had my respect. Saw him at ozzfest 2006 he was on the second stage with bls, went to the fye tent, met all his fans did signings, pictures. Then, went and played the last show as Ozzy’s guitarist on the main stage. Legend. 🥷🥷
