it takes me for a walk
drags me downtown

things are getting slow
i think it's running low

plug it in the wall
it makes no sound at all

The song "My Pet Robot" by Pulsars is a playful tribute to a robotic companion named Theodore. The lyrics express deep affection for this robotic pet, with the repetition of the phrase "my pet robot, my pet robot Theodore, my pet robot I adore."
The song describes how Theodore takes its owner for walks, with a stark contrast of being dragged downtown. The paper tongue it speaks with is depicted as something odd and amusing. However, the song takes a melancholic turn as things start to slow down, and Theodore seems to be running out of power. The singer expresses a sense of helplessness, not knowing if this signals the end of their time together, expressing his desire to restore Theodore to full health. In the end, the song ends with uncertainty, as the singer questions whether Theodore will be running again, asking "is it over, is it over?"
