Insane
Pzychobitch Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Do not try to send away what's going wrong, I said
Insane - show that you're strong
And don't ask mami to sing this song
I will not try to survive in a furtive girl
And do not want to believe in a madmans word
Never hope to understand what's to loose
Kill what you love/hate - what you love/hate is going to abuse
Insane - don't do it again
Lonely grief is hounding me, cries up your name
Mrs. insane crawls on your door
But don't ask what she is waiting for
Don't want to live inside of maniac
I never called your name and you know I let
You be a social girl in your wn bigshoes
So kill what you love/hate - what you love/hate is going to abuse
Insane
You're just a windbag in your vein
I said: insane - to never grow myself inane
Insane -insane -insane
The song "Insane" by Pzychobitch is a cryptic and demented reflection on mental instability and the way it affects interpersonal relationships. The lyrics begin with a warning - "Do not try to send away what's going wrong" - suggesting that denial will only make things worse. The chorus repeats the word "insane" over and over again, as if trying to own or embrace the label. The singer seems to be urging someone else not to succumb to their own madness, to "show that you're strong" instead.
The next verse introduces a character named "Mrs. Insane," who is "crawling on your door" and waiting for something. The singer claims not to want to "live inside of maniac," indicating that they have perhaps been controlled or manipulated by someone who is struggling with mental health issues. The repeated refrain of "kill what you love/hate" is a frightening suggestion that one may have to destroy their own feelings in order to protect themselves.
Overall, "Insane" is a dark and unsettling song that grapples with themes of sanity, control, and self-preservation. It seems to be encouraging the listener not to shy away from their own instability, but also to be cautious of others who may be struggling with their own demons.
