Vile visions, despaired in a throwning black tower of pain. Concealed yearns of a desolate heart, trying to scratch that unscratchable rotting itch from within. Centuries of sorrow drenched in gloomy electronics that palpitate like human passions.
A call for help,
Qual.

Qual Lyrics

To the somber castle of Slovakia
To the dead dusty ruins of Athens
With quivering body
A twenty eight year old soul
Robed in sables of woe
A screaming tide
A foaming romance
From the gentle hills of Geneva
To the somber castle of Slovakia
To the dead dusty ruins of Athens
With quivering body
A twenty eight year old soul
Robed in sables of woe
Screams inside
A screaming tide
A foaming romance
In Qual's song "Sable," the lyrics suggest that the singer is experiencing a tumultuous inner turmoil that they are unable to contain. The opening lines take us on a journey across different parts of Europe, emphasizing that this is not just an individual struggle, but one that is universal and could be experienced by anyone, regardless of geography. The use of the phrase "gentle hills" and "somber castle" highlights the contrast in emotions that one can experience on this journey. Furthermore, the third location, the "dead dusty ruins of Athens," evokes a sense of history and the idea that the singer is possibly grappling with conflicting emotions tied to the past.
The lyrics go on to describe the condition of the singer, their body is "quivering" and they are draped in "sables of woe." The use of the word "sables," which is often used to describe a type of fur, suggests that the singer is besieged by a deep sense of melancholy. The repetition of the phrase "screams inside a screaming tide" emphasizes the intensity of their pain, suggesting that they are drowning in their emotions. The final line, "a foaming romance," is an interesting juxtaposition, as it suggests that despite the overwhelming pain, the singer is still grappling with romantic feelings, further complicating their situation.
