darkwave
Darkwave is an umbrella term which refers to a movement that began in the late 1970s, coinciding with the popularity of New Wave and Post-punk music. Building upon the basic principles of those musical movements, dark wave evolved through the addition of dark, thoughtful lyrics and an undertone of darkness. Goth rock was originally included in the movement so darkwave became an important part of the goth scene and closely connected with the goth subculture. It combines new wave with goth rock.

A Forest
The Cure Lyrics
Come closer and see
See into the trees
Find the girl
While you can
Come closer and see
See into the dark
Just follow your eyes
Just follow your eyes
I hear her voice
Calling my name
The sound is deep
In the dark
I hear her voice
And start to run
Into the trees
Into the trees
Into the trees
Suddenly I stop
But I know it's too late
I'm lost in a forest
All alone
The girl was never there
It's always the same
I'm running towards nothing
Again and again and again and again
And again and again and again and again
And again and again and again and again
And again and again and again and again
And again and again and again and again
And again

Maybe no one is gonna read this comment, but I want to leave here the thoughts I've had while listening this song. Nowdays we feel like we are always late and we just cant stop and listen a song, we keep searching something to do, like reading comments, instead of just listening and feeling the song. And when the song is more that 2 minutes, very feel people know how to appreciate it. This was the first song in a while that I just left playing in my bed, layed down and started to listen carefully to feel every instrument... and I felt like I've just discovered the key of the whole universe... but then the music ends and I forgot everything.

That’s exactly how I feel about this song, a weird spiritual thing

Your comment wasn’t shitty at all. It made me stop and feel this song differently. Thank you for that. 💕
