The lyrics of RADIO ELVIS's song "Elle partira comme elle est venue" tell the story of a woman who will leave the same way she came, in a discreet and escape-like manner. She turns her back, leaving the window open, and forgets her scarf by the sea. The song describes her carrying within her the desire to merge and follow the water and its flow. Her body is no longer hers as she relinquishes control to the natural course of the water.
As the woman leaves, hundreds of ships detach from the coast, seemingly called by her hands. The winds and waves gather at her feet, carrying the same desire within them to merge and follow the water's flow. The song suggests that the water should flow where it can spread and expand, and the woman's departure from the confines of this world no longer concerns her.
In the final verse, the woman's scarf remains as a secret, a silent message to the singer that he was the one she loved. The repetition of "C'est toi que j'aimais" (It is you that I loved) emphasizes the depth of their connection and her departure leaves a longing and bittersweet realization of their lost love.
