Once upon a time, before beats and the rhymes
Long ago, before music and rapping

And before there was ever any Random
And before I became known as Random

There was a boy in the hood, who always did good
There was a good-natured boy in the neighborhood

So the bullies of the block couldn't stand him

And on Christmas and birthdays he got mad presents
He received many gifts on Christmas and birthdays

So many, he ain't know what to play with
He had so many gifts, he didn't know which ones to play with

He had Transformers, He-Man, Ninja Turtles, Star wars
He owned toys like Transformers, He-Man, Ninja Turtles, and Star Wars

But the G.I. Joes were his favorite
But his favorite toys were G.I. Joes

He was so creative, that if they didn't make a toy he like
He was incredibly creative and would make his own toys if they didn't exist

Decided to create it
He would make it himself

He put Storm Shadow's legs on Snake Eyes' body till it popped
He combined action figure parts until they broke

And then he duct taped it, he made spaceships
He would fix the broken toys with duct tape and even create spaceships

While the big kids hung out on the block playing hide and seek
While the older kids played hide and seek on the street

And riding back
And riding their bikes back

They used to try to get involved but they told him 'get lost'
They used to try to include him, but then they told him to go away

And that's when they started gettin' high at night
And that's when they started doing drugs at night

Then I heard a made a friend who was as nerdy as him
Then he made a friend who was as nerdy as he was

When he had all that he could withstand
When he couldn't handle it anymore

They collected comics and cards, studied
They collected comics and trading cards and studied them

Knew the whole Star Wars script like the back of his hand

And in school he made A's and B's
He got good grades in school

And teachers complemented his amazing feats
And teachers praised his impressive achievements

And all the while he wondered, If I'm so amazing, geez
And all this time, he wondered why, if he was so amazing

How come nobody won't play with me?
Why doesn't anyone want to play with him?

So to say this kid looked funny in school
To say that this kid looked odd in school

That would be a colossal understatement
Would be a huge understatement

He had high water pants, coke bottle frames
He wore pants that were too short and glasses with thick lenses

And a mouth full of orthodontic braces
And he had braces on his teeth

First girlfriend was named Christina Perez
His first girlfriend had the name Christina Perez

He took her everywhere, now the boy's so cool
He would take her everywhere, and now he's considered cool

But she dated him on a dare
But she only dated him as a challenge

And left him standing there without a clue
And then she left him without any explanation

Man kids can be so cruel
Kids can be incredibly cruel

Just when people couldn't like the boy any less
Just when people couldn't dislike the boy any more

Around the same time shorty got an N.E.S
Around the same time, he got a Nintendo Entertainment System

Cause his mom felt this was the best way to keep him out the streets
Because his mom believed it would keep him away from the streets

Although they was penniless
Even though they had no money

Only child, so she didn't want an empty nest
He was their only child, so his mom didn't want to feel empty

And it's a healthier addiction than cigarettes
And playing video games is a healthier addiction compared to smoking cigarettes

And so it began, how did he escape this scene?
And that's how it all started, how did he escape this situation?

He sat in front of that screen, and chased his dreams
He spent his time in front of the television screen, pursuing his dreams

Fast forward a couple years, he gained a couple peers
Jumping forward a few years, he made friends

And sucked up game like a vacuum
And he absorbed gaming knowledge like a vacuum cleaner

Went off to college and sought some knowledge
He went to college to gain knowledge

And developed the heart to make rap tunes
And he developed the courage to create rap music

Vowed to stay true when he dropped his debut
He promised to remain authentic when he released his first album

And did, so this got his little name up
And he did stay true, which brought attention to his name

And it was money in the bank, but money drew a blank
He made money, but then he couldn't come up with new ideas

Every time the second LP came up
Whenever the opportunity for a second album arose

So he thought back to childhood
So he reminisced about his childhood

And how he survived in such a wild hood
And how he managed to survive in a tough neighborhood

Then he realized, they didn't hate him
Then he realized that people didn't dislike him

And whatever didn't break him, that's what made him
And the challenges he faced made him stronger

So he decided to combine his love for the games and raps
So he decided to merge his passion for video games and rap music

Open his soul up and let 'em in
He opened himself up and allowed others to understand him

Then he chopped up some eight bit sounds, put it down
Then he cut up some 8-bit video game sounds and incorporated them

Now Random is now known as Mega Ran
Now I, Random, am known as Mega Ran

Now his name's all over that internet
Now his name is widely recognized on the internet

Girls who didn't care are now interested
Even girls who weren't interested before now show interest

And the best part of the story, comes at the end
And the most exciting part of the story is yet to come
