My parents love this song. Now, my dad's in hospital, dying of stroke. We play Kool & the Gang at his bedside. When this song comes on it brings a whole other meaning to "cherish." My parents' just had their 43rd anniversary. Their love is eternal, but my dear father's time on earth is coming to an end. And so may we all cherish the time we have on earth with our loved ones. Christmas 1985, I was thirteen years old. My grandmother bought me this little stereo with dual cassette decks for Christmas, so naturally I set out to start recording songs off the radio. This was the first song I recorded. Grandma died three weeks later. I don't have the tape or the stereo anymore, but I remember this song, which makes me remember her.

My uncle passed away yesterday at 6 am and hes last wish before battling cancer was to visit the beach and there we were with our family enjoying the beach on Saturday he had to go to the hospital and stayed there and was telling my aunt that he will get out soon hes just getting checked to go to the beach again and he couldnt and yesterday at 3 am family walked in the hospital to pray for him as he couldnt talk anymore and didnt stop praying suddently at 6 am yesterday hes heart stopped beating.
This was hes favorite song he listened to always now were just waiting for the funeral 😭😭😭
