All I Need
Radiohead Lyrics
I'm the next act
Waiting in the wings
I'm an animal
Trapped in your hot car
I am all the days
That you choose to ignore
You are all I need
You are all I need
I'm in the middle of your picture
I am a moth
Who just wants to share your light
I'm just an insect
Trying to get out of the night
I only stick with you
Because there are no others
You are all I need
You are all I need
I'm in the middle of your picture
Lying in the reeds
It's all wrong
It's all right
It's all wrong
It's all wrong
It's all right
It's all wrong
It's all wrong
It's all right
It's all wrong
It's all right

One of the band's most direct love songs, "All I Need" is a downbeat track which sees frontman Thom Yorke singing of obsession and unrequited love. The recording also incorporates a full string section, a synthesizer, and various other instruments into its instrumentation. Lead guitarist Jonny Greenwood utilized a string section in order to produce the desired effect of white noise produced by a band playing loudly in a room. Prior to its official release on In Rainbows, the song was debuted live by Radiohead at a Chicago, Illinois concert in June 2006.
In support of the MTV EXIT anti-human trafficking campaign, Radiohead produced a video for "All I Need", directed by Steve Rogers, which premiered on May 1, 2008. The clip, which contrasts the lives of two young boys—an average, well-off child from a developed environment, and a sweatshop worker—received critical acclaim and won numerous awards. On 5 January 2009, "All I Need" impacted United States adult album alternative radio as the fifth and final single from In Rainbows.

I'm the next act
Waiting in the wings
I'm an animal
Trapped in your hot car
I am all of the days
That you choose to ignore
You are all I need
You are all I need
I'm in the middle of your picture
Lying in the reeds
I am a moth
Who just wants to share your light
I'm just an insect
Trying to get out of the night
I only stick with you
Because there are no others
You are all I need
You're all I need
I'm in the middle of your picture
Lying in the reeds
It's all wrong
It's alright
It's all wrong
It's alright
Perfectly Crafted
I'm the next act
Waiting in the wings
I'm an animal
Trapped in your hot car
I am all the days
That you choose to ignore
You are all I need
You are all I need
I'm in the middle of your picture
Lying in the reeds
I am a moth
Who just wants to share your light
I'm just an insect
Trying to get out of the night
I only stick with you
Because there are no others
You are all I need
You are all I need
I'm in the middle of your picture
Lying in the reeds
It's all wrong
It's all right
It's all wrong
It's all wrong
It's all right
It's all wrong
It's all wrong
It's all right
It's all wrong
It's all right

This song...
Back in 1st Year College, a classmate I had known for quite some time and I worked on an assignment we had on its due date. We met at the library that afternoon to work on it together, but we only asked for each other's help when we really needed it (we fairly worked alone tho). However, I began to feel differently as I sat beside her, but I simply let it pass since I had to focus on my paper. We finished and had our assignments printed 30 minutes before the deadline and rushed towards the professor's office where we were to submit the output. She was very cheery and lively, but at the same time, panicked considering how time ran. She chuckled and laughed as we rushed up the stairs, making remarks about how panicked we were moving, which I'd often respond with "yeahs" and chuckles. Eventually, we arrived at the professor's office and submitted our outputs just in time, catching our breaths and eventually parting ways.
Later that evening, I finished my evening class and went to a nearby 7/11 to grab a drink; this song was playing on my earphones all throughout. As I walked away from the 7/11, sipping on my drink with the last part playing, I realized, to my shock, that I had grown fond of her.
Sadly, I should have listened to Thom's warning at the end if I would've spared myself the momentary yet overwhelming grief.

[Verse 1]
I'm the next act
Waiting in the wings
I'm an animal
Trapped in your hot car
I am all the days
That you choose to ignore
[Chorus]
You are all I need
You're all I need
I'm in the middle of your picture
Lying in the reeds
[Verse 2]
I'm a moth
Who just wants to share your light
I'm just an insect
Trying to get out of the night
I only stick with you
Because there are no others
[Chorus]
You are all I need
You're all I need
I'm in the middle of your picture
Lying in the reeds
[Outro]
It's all wrong, it's all wrong, it's all wrong
It's all right, it's all right, it's all right

@Nexus Six yeah that's actually one of Hip hop greatest albums bro, but that's not the only good piece OutKast has, check out Aquemini or Stankonia. Also southernplayalisticaddilacmusic (that's the actual album name)

@Nexus Six no offense but saying Lupe Fiasco and OutKast are mainstream party rap is the dumbest take

"All I Need" is "Creep" written by an adult instead of a teenager.

This came on this morning on my way to work. It brought me back to my first time hearing it. Blissful sadness. It shook my core all over again.
