Reamonn was a German rock and pop band that is well known all over Europe. They recorded six albums and disbandoned in 2010.
In 1998, Rea Garvey left his band The Reckless Pedestrians and home town of Tralee, Ireland to go to Germany with not a lot money and a demo CD in his pocket. He put an ad into local paper Stockacher Anzeiger stating, "Singer requires band for recording and live shows." Mike Gommeringer (Gomezz) saw this ad and accurately assumed it must have been Garvey, whose original band he had once seen play live. The twosome met up and subsequently recruited Uwe, Sebi and Phil. Their first gig was played on New Year's Eve 1998 in Stockach.
In order to secure a recording contract, they set up a showcase at Logo, a small club in Hamburg, in front of 16 representatives from various record labels in 1999. The band was quickly offered several contracts, settling on signing with Virgin Records Germany. As of 2006 they are now releasing their music through Universal Music.
Their best known songs are: Supergirl and Tonight(2006).
In 2011, Rea started his solo career and as of 2018, released 4 albums so far: Can't stand the silence, Pride, Prisma and Neon. Rea continues to work with national and international artists like Kool Savas, Jam & Spoon, Paul van Dyk or Mary J. Blige.
In the past, he recorded a new version of "All good things come to an end" with Nelly Furtado.
For several German movies he provided solo tracks even before Reamonn disbandoned.
He regularely appears at a coach of the German Version of "The Voice" or "The Voice Kids".
Rea married in 2002 and together with their child, they live in Berlin.

How do you hold back the feeling's you fight?
The record's broken, now you walk outside
Take the elevator to the good satellite
Where do you go when the wild winds blow?
Where do you hide from the thousand knifes?
Don't let me flames die out tonight
Life's too short, so don't waste your time
You need the braver crusader
The prince who came to save her
The honest to promise and treat you like a goddess
You need a man to go down on his knees
You need a man who'll give you what you need
Hey, hey, how will I know he's the one?
Hey, hey, how will I know he's the one?
Hey, hey, how will I know he's the one?
Hey, hey, how will I know he's the one?
And no need to run, life is not in a rush
Your fast love is just a button you push
Don't be scared, he won't catch your eye
Why take second best when you can aim for the sky?
You need the braver crusader
The prince who came to save her
The honest to promise and treat you like a goddess
You need a man to go down on his knees
You need a man who'll give you what you need
Hey, hey, how will I know he's the one?
Hey, hey, how will I know he's the one?
Hey, hey, how will I know he's the one?
Hey, hey, how will I know he's the one?
And none of us are perfect, but all of us are blessed
I know I'm being critical and I'm no better than the rest
I hope you find what you're lookin' for, I hope you find the one
'Cause that meant I'll sleep soundly, knowin' my job's done
You need the braver crusader
The prince who came to save her
The honest to promise and treat you like a goddess
You need a man to go down on his knees
You need a man who'll give you what you need
Hey, hey, how will I know he's the one?
Hey, hey, how will I know he's the one?
Hey, hey, how will I know he's the one?
Hey, hey, how will I know he's the one?
The song "The One" by Rea Garvey explores the question of how to find that perfect person who can make you feel complete. The opening lines create a sense of chaos and confusion by asking where to go when life's wild winds blow and how to hold back the feelings that you're fighting. The metaphor of a broken record is used to illustrate how life can sometimes feel like it's stuck on a loop, and the singer feels the need to break free from that repetition by taking the elevator to the good satellite.
The chorus repeats the question "how will I know he's the one?" and suggests that the singer is looking for someone who is brave, honest, and willing to treat her like a goddess. The mention of going down on one's knees suggests a sense of humility and submission, which is contrasted against the idea of fast love being just a button that you push. The final verse acknowledges that no one is perfect, but we are all blessed in our own way. The hope is expressed that the singer will find "the one" so the singer can sleep soundly, knowing that their job is done.
Overall, "The One" explores the theme of searching for love and the frustration that can come with not finding it. The song highlights the importance of finding someone who is honest, brave, and respectful, while also acknowledging that no one is perfect.

Passt halt vom Inhalt nicht wirklich zu einem Fußballturnier, aber die Stimmung die dabei aufkommt würde bestimmt die ein oder andere Partie bei der EM bereichern...
