Rebelution kicked off their โPeace of Mind Tourโ the day after the release, selling out shows at Phillyโs The Electric Factory, The Hollywood Palladium, Denverโs The Fillmore, The Fox Theater in Oakland and Hard Rock in Orlando, FL. The tour made stops in a total of 42 cities across the country.
Summer 2012 was spent supporting O.A.R on their Amphitheatre tour, headlining four amphitheaters in Florida as well as festival performances at Outside Lands, Hangout, Forecastle, Summer Camp, Summer Set, The Allman Broโs Peach Festival and two performances at Red Rocks Amphitheatre. After completing a Fall tour of the East and South East, Rebelution will be headlining The Hollywood Palladium on New Years Eve, heading to New Zealand for the Raggamuffins Festival in February and headlining their annual Winter Greens Tour around the USA in Feb - May 2013.
Peace of Mind marks the first time Rebelution has expanded beyond their usual self-production enlisting producers Michael Goldwasser (Easy Star All-Stars), Amp Live (Zion-I), Yeti Beats (Kool Keith, George Clinton), Keith Armstrong and Errol Brown (Stephen, Ziggy, Damian, and Bob Marley). The album builds upon the bandโs signature style while venturing into new musical genres from the lush strings incorporated into the gentle โRoute Aroundโ to the driving guitar and synths throughout โLady In Whiteโ.
Rebelution has developed into a front-runner for grassroots, independent and tour driven music groups. Originally formed in 2004, members Eric Rachmany (vocals / guitar), Rory Carey (keyboards), Wesley Finley (drums), and Marley D. Williams (bass) met in college, while residing in Isla Vista, a popular beachside community in Santa Barbara. It was there that the seeds to Rebelutionโs future were planted creating inspiring and engaging music that would leave their listeners with the sense that they have the power to make this world a better place. The band continuously tours across the country, ventured to South America and Europe, and has previously performed at Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza and Austin City Limits among others.

Take on Anything
Rebelution Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Good day to say I'm out
I'm done suffering
Not a goodbye to all
It's a hello, stand tall
Just a little rediscovering
Why are we expected to be some way?
Or act different to cater to they
Forget it now
I don't wanna hold on to
A feeling that will get me nowhere
Say I don't want to be like you
Say I don't ever want to change
Well, in fact
Tonight I'm changing up my ways
Getting back to my true free rein
Then and only then myself remains
Tomorrow is another day
What a way to be
What a way to just drain me of my energy
What's expected of me, can't act differently
I can't function efficiently
Try to get back to the essence
Agreed
Rediscover what it means to be free
With some high self-esteem
To some degree I know that
I could take on anything
What a way to feel
Liberated, feeling healthy and I'm feeling well
For some time I was told to fit into the mould
Nah I'd rather be someone else
Why are we expected to be some way
Or act different to cater to they
We'll come away feeling sane
And never contained
And ready to take on anything
I don't wanna hold on to
A feeling that will get me nowhere
Say I don't want to be like you
Say I don't ever want to change
Well, in fact
Tonight I'm changing up my ways
Getting back to my true free rein
Then and only then myself remains
Tomorrow is another day
The lyrics to Rebelution's song "Take on Anything" describe a journey of self-discovery and self-liberation. The song begins by acknowledging a good day to say goodbye to suffering and rediscover oneself. The lyrics suggest that society often imposes expectations on individuals, and there is pressure to fit into those expectations. However, the singer denies those expectations, claiming that they don't have to be a particular way to fit in and expresses a desire to be free from feeling drained of energy. Throughout the song, the singer proclaims a need for self-discovery and high self-esteem, suggesting that true freedom lies in being oneself and resisting the urge to conform to society's standards.
The lyrics of the song accurately reflect the broader theme of Rebelution's music. The band often addresses societal problems, feelings of isolation, and self-empowerment in their music. This song, in particular, encourages listeners to resist societal expectations and embrace their individuality. The lyrics suggest that true freedom comes from rediscovering oneself, building high self-esteem, and taking on anything that life has to offer.
