Formed i… Read Full Bio ↴Red Harvest was an industrial metal band from Oslo, Norway.
Formed in 1989 as a thrash project, the band released their first demo Ocultica that year, before releasing their debut album Nomindsland in 1992. From 1994, the band moved towards an experimental hybrid of prog, Gothic rock, and doom metal on There's Beauty in the Purity of Sadness (which spawned a video for the opening track "Wounds", gaining the band exposure on MTV), The Maztürnation, and Hybreed. In 1997 the band reached a wider audience supporting US goth-metal act Type O Negative.
With 1998's EP New Rage World Music the band perfected their unique progressive industrial tinged sound, and their follow-up Cold Dark Matter was released in 2001 to very strong reviews. In 2002, Sick Transit Gloria Mundi was nominated for a Norwegian grammy and an alternative grammy in the Best Metal Album category. The band released their latest album, Internal Punishment Programs, in 2004.
Their current sound draws elements from industrial metal bands like Godflesh and Ministry, the experimental doom of Neurosis, Voivod-influenced prog-thrash, fellow Norwegian black metal bands like Emperor and Darkthrone, and certain styles of electronica such as drum'n'bass, EBM, and gabba.
According to their official Website, www.redharvest.com, Red Harvest disbanded in May 2010, stating no specific reasons for the breakup.
Wrong Arm of The Law
Red Harvest Lyrics

Heads held high, they're standing tall, against the uniformed fools in full control
Clear the area, go home, don't you dare to speak our what's wrong
Front to front, eye to eye, the ones who dare and those who obey the lies
It ain't no crime to kill someone
In the name of order and control
It ain't no crime to hurt someone
As long as you stand on the right side
When that's what you get paid for
Ain't no point in holding back
When you've the right to make an all out attack
Mad arm of the law
Wrong arm of the law
Strong arm of the law
Mad arm of the law
The battle will go on and on
Heads held high, they're standing tall, against the uniformed fools in full control
It ain't no crime to kill someone
In the name of order and control
It ain't no crime to hurt someone
As long as you stand on the right side
It ain't no crime to kick someone
When that's what you get paid for
Ain't no point in holding back
When you've the right to make an all out attack
Mad arm of the law
Wrong arm of the law
Strong arm of the law
Mad arm of the law
The lyrics of Red Harvest's song Wrong Arm of The Law seem to address the issue of police brutality and the abuse of power by those in uniform. The song speaks to the ongoing battle between the youth who dare to confront the lies and the uniformed fools who are in full control. The lyrics suggest that those in power are not afraid to use violence, even to the extent of killing someone or hurting someone as long as they stand on the right side. The song seems to be a call to arms, encouraging people to fight against the oppression and not to hold back, even if it means making an all-out attack.
The repetition of the line "It ain't no crime" in the chorus emphasizes the justification that those in power use for their actions, claiming that they are acting in the name of order and control. The use of the word "mad" to describe the arm of the law suggests that the actions of those in power are not only wrong but are also fueled by a kind of madness. The phrase "wrong arm of the law" seems to imply that the actions of those in power are not truly in line with the law but rather represent a perversion of it.
Overall, the lyrics of Red Harvest's song Wrong Arm of The Law speak to the issue of police brutality and the abuse of power by those in uniform. The song encourages people to fight against this oppression and not to hold back, even if it means making an all-out attack.
