Handle my heart with care, oh, please be kind
This is all so grand, my dreams are on parade
If you'll just hold my hand, they'll never, ever fade
So tell me your love's sincere, oh, please be kind
Tell me I needn't fear, oh, please be kind
'cause if you leave me dear, I know my heart will lose its mind
Tell me your love's sincere, oh, please be kind
Tell me I needn't fear, oh, please be kind
'Cause if you leave me dear, I know my heart will lose its mind
If you love me please please be kind

I love Mildred's "Honey, please be kind" -- the "honey" was her own touch; nobody else did it. There were many great bands, each with a distinctive character, in the Swing Era, but the Red Norvo orchestra stands out for its highly individual, instantly recognizable sound, as this deftly swinging side attests.

@beiderbecke1927 Mildred's Thanks is easily my favorite version, and though as an ardent fan of her work I can think of many of her recordings that are near and dear, there's not one I love more than that one.
