A trailblazer in the Philippine indie scene, Reese has brought her music to international shores like Japan, Singapore, New Zealand, and the USA. βA Song About Spaceβ from her debut album βArigato, Internet!β was chosen by NASA for their historic #LaunchAmerica campaign videos.
In 2018, she opened for Paramore's Tour Four and garnered praise from frontwoman Hayley Williams. She also opened for Oh Wonderβs Ultralife Tour in Manila, and has shared the stage with artists such as The Temper Trap, LANY, Purity Ring and Explosions in the Sky.
She takes slices of life and spin them into head-bopping melodies and heartwarming confessionals. With her signature wit and vocal looping prowess, Reese commands the stage and connects with people who appreciate general weirdness, injected into pop earworms.
In May 2021, she released her highly anticipated sophomore album, Time Well Spent.

On a perfectly good day
I want to climb a hill
Watch the world as it stays still
Instead of moving frames
Oh, paint me a picture
To keep in my pocket
Depart without any warning
And leave the world I've known
Find a new one to call home
Instead of seeing it all
Oh, give me a memory
To keep in my pocket
I've got these many hours
And the rest of my days
To make a living
And all I know is I haven't
Mentioned my whereabouts
To anybody else
Had to take a rain check back at home
Granting myself time and space to roam
And maybe take a little something back
Take a little something back with me
I am running through woods
On my own, cause I could
And I am making it there
A place I don't know where
And I am sinking a boat
While I'm learning to float
And I am counting my scars
Cause I'm proud of the wars
I've won
Waiting for my wings to grow
Through the summer and the snow
I'll be here and taking my time
'Cause it's mine
I've got these many hours
And the rest of my days
To make a living
And all I know is I haven't
Mentioned my whereabouts
To anybody else
Had to take a rain check back at home
Granting myself time and space to roam
And maybe take a little something back
Take a little something back with me
Before I start again
In Reese Lansangan's song 'Pocket,' the singer expresses her desire to step away from her routine, busy life and explore the world around her. She wants to escape to the hills, watch the world as time stands still, and collect memories to keep in her pocket. The lyrics suggest that the singer feels trapped within her daily life and longs for adventure and excitement. She wants to leave the familiar and embark on a journey of self-discovery, challenging herself to learn, grow, and come back to her life with new perspectives.
The chorus of the song explains how the singer feels the need to tell people about her whereabouts, but she decides to go off-grid and grant herself some time and space to roam. She wants to take a little something back with her before she starts again, suggesting that she wants to learn from her experiences and apply them to her daily life.
The song explores the themes of restlessness, self-discovery, escapism, and individuality. The dreamy, introspective lyrics and the mellow melody create a sense of longing and desire for something more than just the routine. It is a song of self-discovery, where the singer takes control of her life and decides to challenge herself, break free from her usual routine, and explore the world.

This is my go-to song whenever I am so exhausted and burnout to the point that I feel I cannot go on anymore. Like I just want everything to stop for a moment so I could have my break. Then Iβd listen to this song, and it will remind me that itβs ok to stop if that will help me, the time I will use to relax wouldnβt hurt what Iβm trying to accomplish, and that I am not in a competition to be rushing things and tiring myself. Sigh, if comfort really is a person, it would be Reese π«Άπ»
