Joy is here, Joy has come
He’s now here, God’s blessed Son
(Repeat)
Pre Chorus 1:
Hopes for redemption don’t feel like they’re on sustained delay
Cries for release no longer feel like they’ve been turned away
You can have promise you can come and be renewed today
This is Christ who came to save every man on earth
Chorus:
Let joy begin in me
For Christ has come
Let joy show through me
Our God is here with us
Verse 2:
Come and see why I have joy like none before
See why on bended knees I worship and adore
All rejoice and celebrate in one accord
The arrival of Christ the Lord
Pre-Chorus 2:
More than the witness of the barn that holds the newborn child
It’s more than just a new beginning of another life
Christ is the Savior that will take all of our sin away
He’ll give us freedom from the price for sin we cannot pay
This is the love of our Eternal King
Bridge:
Joy has come; joy is here
Joy’s starting inside of me
Chorus:
Let joy begin in me
For Christ has come
Let joy show through me
Our God is here with us
Bridge:
Joy has come; joy is here
Joy’s starting inside of me
The song "Joy" by Rev. James Moore is a powerful proclamation of the joy that comes with the arrival of Christ. The first verse speaks of how the joy that everyone had been waiting for has finally come as God's blessed Son. The second verse invites the listener to come and see why the singer has joy like none before, and urges everyone to rejoice and celebrate in one accord in the arrival of Christ the Lord.
The pre-choruses explain that the joy that comes with the arrival of Christ is the promise and hope for all who choose The Way. It means that hopes for redemption and cries for release no longer feel like they've been turned away. The arrival of Christ signifies the love of the Eternal King, who will take away all sin and give freedom from the price that cannot be paid. This is the reason for the joy that has started inside the singer, as shown in the bridge.
Overall, the song is a celebration of the arrival of Christ and the joy that people have because of it. It is a reminder that in the midst of troubles and difficulties, there is always hope and joy that comes with choosing The Way.

I’m not even a Christian but I would be in church every week if this type of music was playing.
@WendieRenee
No you wouldn't. You can go to a concert simply for good music. The function of church is to worship a worthy God who has saved us. It is also to mature in our ability to submit to Christ's Lordship. So, once God's Word was taught (another function for gathering), our joy would remain but you'd be faced with your true spiritual condition before God. You'd then either have to repent and receive the gift of salvation by faith . . . or that superficial excitement you felt would quickly dissipate.
Jesus taught:
"But the hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship Him. God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.” (John 4:23-24)
The Christian's joy is not simply in the music but in the words of praise and gratitude toward a merciful, loving, faithful God who redeemed our souls.
@2308521
Don't believe in any of that. I like to fellowship with others and listen to good music.
