I was a nerd , with books being the only priority along with some other things I did (particularly writing).
I saw him on a random summer day as he was walking down the stairs with his cousin ,who was my best friend. Days passed , all I knew was a name of a person who was to become an etched memory. He was in his last year while I was a freshman. After few days, we had a debate competition and we were in the same team.. we both made good points but all I could sense was the sincerity that he possessed and the severity of the shocks he gave. I heard him a few other times, he spoke as if he had keen interests in the internal politics and kept on dragging ,the constitution. The person who I thought was a no -one turned out to be the person with that ambitious - boldness. I liked him and the more I thought about him, the more, I felt inferior. One day, I told my best friend about my inferiority complex and all she told me was that, his boldness isn't his take ...it's rather the trait that he had to master. They told me that he wanted to become a lawyer, but she told me that he was forced to become so. For the first time , I rooted for an unknown person ...
for the first time, I waited to see someone in the morning when I entered....
without talking much, I fell hard for that superior suppression and I never knew that, when it happened.
Days passed and I wanted to talk to him but I saw him randomly and my introverted self made it more difficult to even say ,"Hi."
But more than satisfying my longing,
I wanted to ask him that why my aspiration changed into a set inspiration.
I saw him , but I felt like I saw another version of him ..when his tired eyes searched for water after basketball games . He had an everlasting smile.
He was about to leave and month before , I wrote him a letter anonymously just to ask him that weather he was missing something in this unwanted race. I gave it to my another friend, who told me that he tore it even before reading it.
I felt miserable but maybe I was to be blamed...
But maybe , he was another lost version.
Whatever that was , he's going to leave after one week and all I can wish is , "farewell. "
