Williams has received a record 18 Brit Awards, winning Best British Male Artist four times, Outstanding Contribution to Music twice, an Icon Award for his lasting impact on British culture, eight German ECHO Awards, and three MTV European Music Awards. In 2004, he was inducted into the UK Music Hall of Fame after being voted the Greatest Artist of the 1990s. According to the British Phonographic Industry (BPI), he has been certified for 20.2 million albums and 8.66 million singles in the UK as a solo artist. Five of his albums have also topped the Australian albums chart, and has sold 75 million records worldwide, making him one of the best-selling music artists of all time. He also topped the 2000–2010 UK airplay chart. His three concerts at Knebworth in 2003 drew over 375,000 people, the UK's biggest music event to that point. In 2014, he was awarded the freedom of his hometown of Stoke-on-Trent and had a tourist trail created and streets named in his honour. Williams' thirteenth album, XXV was released on 9 September 2022.
After 15 years, Williams rejoined Take That in 2010 to co-write and perform lead vocals on their album Progress, which became the second-fastest-selling album in UK chart history and the fastest-selling record of the century at the time. The subsequent stadium tour, which featured seven songs from Williams' solo career, became the biggest-selling concert in UK history when it sold 1.34 million tickets in less than 24 hours. In 2011, Take That frontman Gary Barlow confirmed that Williams had left the band for a second time to focus on his solo career, although he stated that the departure was amicable and that Williams was welcome to rejoin Take That in the future. Williams has since performed with Take That on three separate television appearances, and collaborated with Barlow on a number of projects such as the West End musical The Band.

Sleep sleep feel the deep,
Get away from the devil in all?
Don't you want to see
What you could have won
Bittersweet, your defeat baby
I'm much sicker than you
All you are is colors
Isn't it genius that you give tonight
You just keep on doing harm
Could only see the sense in being superblind
And just keep on keeping on
I can't help thinking about me
Put a thought in for me
I'm the genius behind me
Maybe I shouldn't have said it
Here's to the next century
What will they think if they think about me
Here it is, what a lie say a prayer,
For the way it should be
We are people they don't believe
Wish your mother wouldn't bother
Won't she just stay out of your mind?
Or should they stay when you make them leave
Isn't it genius that you give tonight?
You just keep on doing harm
Could only see the sense in being superblind
And just keep on keeping on
I can't help thinking about me
Put a thought in for me
I'm the genius behind me
Maybe I shouldn't have said it
Here's to the next century
What will they think if they think about me
I can't help think about me
Won't you put a prayer in for me
You could talk and think about me
It's like these props know when we're dancing
We can pray our way out of here
You're like a new wave old romantic
Try to break our heart but got stuck on it
Superblind
When your superblind
Keep you out of mind
Because we all know
Cos we didn't care.
The lyrics of "Superblind" seem to convey a sense of detachment from reality, perhaps brought on by the use of drugs to numb oneself to the chaos of the world. The opening lines, "Sleep sleep feel the deep, get away from the devil in all?" suggest a need for escape, a desire to shut out the painful realities of life. The chorus, "Isn't it genius that you give tonight, you just keep on doing harm, could only see the sense in being superblind and just keep on keeping on" reinforces this feeling of detachment, as if the singer is aware of the harm they're doing but feels powerless to stop.
The lyrics also touch on the idea of ego, with lines like "I'm the genius behind me" and "What will they think if they think about me". It's almost as if the singer is aware of their own arrogance, but can't help but feed into it. The final lines, "When your superblind, keep you out of mind, because we all know, cos we didn't care" seem to suggest a sort of nihilism, that nothing really matters and it's better to just tune out and not care.
Overall, the song seems to be exploring themes of escapism, ego, and nihilism, all wrapped up in Robbie Williams' signature brand of pop-rock.

Superblind
It's as if the objects sense when we're dancing. We can pray for an escape. You're a modern version of an old romantic. You try to break our hearts, but you can't help getting caught up in them. You're blinded by your own emotions.
When your superblind
Keep you out of mind
Because we all know
Cos we didn't care.
When you're blindly acting out, forget about the consequences and just live in the moment. Because deep down, we know that we didn't care either way.
