Get It Through Your Heart
Robert Palmer Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
I'm helpless when we're apart.
You've got it through your head I love you,
Now get it through your heart.
I've come to depend on you,
Wait 'til the end with you.
Our love was right from the start.
You've got it through your head I love you,
No more doubt. Permanence. Inevitably you.
You can bet I depend on you to come through.
There's so much to do.
The song "Get It Through Your Heart" by Robert Palmer is a powerful declaration of love and dependence. The lyrics express the singer's absolute reliance on one particular person, acknowledging that no one else will suffice in their absence. The singer is said to be helpless when separated from this person, highlighting the crucial importance of their bond.
