I’ve been listening to all of Ms. Flack’s music with a meticulous ear this year. With each listen I always hear something new, ESPECIALLY if I have my headphones on or earbuds in. I have even more appreciation for her as an artist, musician, arranger, producer, and in some cases, songwriter.
On “Back Together Again” I LOVE her ad libs, as well as how she enhances the background vocals and gives Mr. Hathaway a little more room to do his thing. It really is an amazing song. A jam and a gem.
