Cada Vez que te Miro
Rocio Jurado Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Que ya no tengo,
Ni tan siquiera un rincón
Que no conozca tu cuerpo.
Quiero volverte a besar
Como quisiera, Ay! como quisiera,
Tu boca me sabe a mar
Cada vez que te miro
Se para el tiempo
Y en la noche un suspiro
Rompe el silencio
Eres tú lo que quiero,
Da sentido a mi vida
Eres lo que yo espero
Cada día, cada día.
No se ya lo que pensar
Ni lo que digo
Me duele ya hasta soñar
Desde que sueño contigo.
The lyrics of Rocío Jurado's song Cada Vez que te Miro talk about a deep connection and an intense feeling of love towards someone. The singer expresses that this person is so deeply ingrained in her life that every corner of her existence is marked by their presence. She longs to kiss them again because their mouth is so familiar and comforting, it tastes like the sea and spring flowers. Whenever she sees this person, time stands still, and a sigh breaks the silence of the night. This person is what she desires and what gives meaning to her life. She thinks of them non-stop, and even her dreams are painful because they are a constant reminder of her unyielding love for them.
The song is all about passionate love, a feeling that many people can relate to. It shows how love can take over someone's life, to the point where it is all they can think about. The lyrics show a deep understanding of this emotion and how it can be all-consuming. The line "Tu boca me sabe a mar / Y a flores de primavera" is particularly poetic, comparing the taste of the person's mouth to the sea and spring flowers. The imagery is vivid and gives a physical presence to the feeling of being in love.
