Hoy no es el día de la Bulería
Rocio Jurado Lyrics

No, no,
Hoy no es el día de la bulería.
Si tú te vas de mi vera,
Ay, si tú te vas de mi vera
No hay invierno ni verano,
Ni otoño ni primavera.
The song "Hoy no es el día de la Bulería" by Rocío Jurado is an emotional ballad about heartbreak and the desire for solitude. The lyrics describe a feeling of emptiness and detachment as the singer declares that today is not the day for joyful and upbeat music like the bulería, a dance style commonly associated with Andalusian flamenco. She goes on to explain that she is feeling cold inside despite the warm spring weather outside, and that her love is not aware of her pain. The singer expresses a desire to be alone with her thoughts and creative expressions, rather than being obligated to participate in fun and frivolity. She reminisces about a past moment with her love where they were sitting together by a fire and she was captivated by his green eyes that were brimming with the promise of spring. However, she acknowledges that if he were to leave her, then all seasons and emotions would blend together and lose their significance. Overall, this song is a poignant statement of not only the sorrow and confusion that comes with a broken heart but also the longing for self-reflection and inner peace.
