… Read Full Bio ↴There are at least two artists who operate under the name of Ronya.
1) Ronja Richardsdotter Gullichsen (born November 9, 1991), known by her stage name Ronya (currently known as New Ro), is a Finnish Swedish-British singer-songwriter. Ronya's father is British-born music producer Richard Stanley.
Ronya signed a contract with Warner Music Finland in 2008 when she was only 16 years old. Her first singles were 'Annoying' (released in June 2011) and 'Hyperventilating' (released in April 2012). Her debut album The Key Is The Key was released in June 2012.
On the 29th of October in 2015 Ronya released her long-awaited sophomore album, Tides. No physical copies were made of this album, so it's completely a digital release.
2) Ronya, born as Katja Vasileva on the 12th of June 1992, is an artist from Berlin with Russian roots. She discovered her passion for music very early because of her grandfather who is a famous musician in Russia.
Since she was five years old she got piano-lessons. Later on also professional vocal-coaching and dancing-lessons of different genres. Until today she is highly focused on all three fields.
In the years 2008 and 2009 she gave a lot of performances. For example at the ECHO Aftershow-party, the 030 Party, at the german television-group RTL - "Mitten im Leben" or at the YOU fair. In cooperation with Nina Hagen she performed at a demostration against child poverty.
At the moment Ronya is casting a rock/pop band in Germany.
She is also highly involved as an ambassador for "Against child poverty e.V.".

You, you could understand the faith in me
I'm gonna cause I fire
I knew it was gonna happen babe
I'm gonna cause a fire
Force is strong when everything is gone
I could feel it in my bones, the bones in my body
You, you could understand the faith in me
Stimulate what I deserve again
Stimulate what I deserve again
Stimulate what I deserve again
Can't hold the chains I'm breaking through
I am the flame
I am the flame
I am the flame
I am the flame
I am the flame
I am the flame
I am the flame
I am the flame
I am, I am, I am, I am
I would try to resurrect the dead
You, can't you see what has become of this
I'm gonna cause a fire
I knew it was gonna happen babe
I'm gonna cause a fire
Burning down the monster I created
I could feel it in my bones, the bones in my body
The bones in my body and skin on my back
You, you could understand the faith in me
Stimulate what I deserve again
Stimulate what I deserve again
Stimulate what I deserve again
Can't hold the chains I'm breaking through
I am the flame
I am the flame
I am the flame
I am the flame
I am the flame
I am the flame
I am the flame
I am the flame
I am the flame
I am the flame
I am the flame
I am the flame
I am, I am, I am, I am
I am, I am, I am, I am, I am
The lyrics to Ronya's song "Flame" appear to be about empowerment and breaking free from chains, both literal and metaphorical. The singer seems to be declaring her strength and her ability to ignite change, even though she knew there would be consequences. The line "you could understand the faith in me" possibly refers to someone who supported her and encouraged her to chase her dreams.
The repetition of "I am the flame" could be interpreted as the singer claiming her identity and declaring that she is the source of her own power. The line "Burning down the monster I created" could represent the singer taking responsibility for any negative aspects of her life or personality and actively working to change them. The imagery of feeling the flames "in (her) bones" and "skin on (her) back" further emphasizes the physical and emotional intensity of the singer's transformation.
Overall, "Flame" seems to be a powerful anthem about taking control of one's own life, embracing one's strength, and using that strength to overcome obstacles.
