Rosana Arbelo was born … Read Full Bio ↴There are two artists by the name of Rosana.
Rosana Arbelo was born in Lanzarote in the Spanish Canary Islands off the northwestern coast of Africa. At age 20, she moved to Madrid where she studied music and guitar.
In 1994, a song she composed won first prize at the Festival de Benidorm. From then on her compositions started to interest many other artists.
In 1996, Rosana decided to start singing her own songs and released her first album, Lunas Rotas. The disc reached unexpected popularity, and without trying she turned into an overnight phenomenon.
Her entry into the Spanish music market was one of the strongest for a new artist in the history of the country. She sold more than 1.6 million copies in Spain, and more than 900,000 in the rest of the world.
Her second album, Luna Nueva, was released in 1998 and had a more mature and deep sound, but maintained the natural and smooth sentiments that characterize the artist.
After three years of silence, during which she wrote songs for other artists, her third album, Rosana, was released in 2001. Its sounds explored the rythms from the her birthplace in the Canary Islands.
In December of 2003, Rosana released Marca Registrada, a double-disc album that contained 10 new songs, 12 greatest hits, and two videos.
Most recently, she has been on tour in both Spain and Latin America, promoting her 2005 album Magia.
Rosana Fiengo is a Brazilian singer who had massive success and a string of hits from the mid-80s to the mid-90s. Her biggest hit was O Amor E O Poder in 1987, and others followed shortly: Direto No Olhar, Onde O Amor Me Leva, Nem Um Toque, Vício Fatal. Her romantic and popular style didn't guarantee her rave reviews, but she did manage to win some awards and she was always featured in many TV shows.
After a while she gained cult status and is still working today, performing at 80s retro parties. Her latest album was released in 2003, and despite containing a remix of O Amor E O Poder, it didn't do well commercially. Her voice has a very wide range and can sometimes be compared to Tina Turner's.
For the 2009 release song "Loving You", she change her stage name to Rosanah Fiengo.

De un camino equivocado
Somos dueños de esta ruina
Que se ahoga en cada esquina
Bajo charcos de amor
Quieres tu y quiero yo
Hasta que no digan nada
Un te quiero ilusionado
Un por siempre a tu lado
Se han quedado emborronados
En los libros mas sagrados
Bajo charcos de amor
Quieres tu y quiero yo
Que se rompan en pedazos
Con los besos los abrazos
Oh oh oh oh oh oh oh
Para que regalara flores la vida
Oh oh oh oh oh oh oh
Si después en soledad te las destilas
Las caricias que llovia
Tu alma sobre la mia
Al final se quedo en nada
En tristezas empapadas
Bajo charcos de amor
Donde hay adios
Y ordenamos los recuerdos
Para no sentirlos lejos
Tantos dias tantos sueños
Que se hicieron mas pequeños
Encerrados donde meten
Las mentiras los que mienten
Bajo charcos de amor
Nos dijimos adios
Dibujando las miradas
En la absurda madrugada
Oh oh oh oh oh oh oh
Para que regalara flores la vida
Oh oh oh oh oh oh oh
Si después en soledad te las destilas
Oh oh oh oh oh oh oh
Para que regalara tantas flores la vida
Oh oh oh oh oh oh oh
Si después en soledad si después en soledad
Si después en soledad te las destilas
Oh oh oh oh oh oh oh
The lyrics to Rosana's song "Bajo Charcos" paint a melancholic picture of a failed relationship that has left the couple drowning in sorrow. The first stanza speaks of the "dim flashes" of a misguided path that the couple took and the ensuing ruins that they now own. The imagery of drowning is further highlighted by the reference to corners that are "drowned" in every turn. The chorus "Under pools of love, you want and I want" signifies the depth of their affection for each other, a love that now seems to be submerged under the weight of their emotions.
The second stanza is an intense expression of the frustrations and disappointments that the couple experienced in their relationship. The words "Let the words break until they say nothing" signify the futility of expressing their love with words when it seems to have no meaning. The line "Our sacred books are now stained" suggests the disappointment and disillusionment they feel with their relationship. The third and final stanza resonates with a sense of finality and acceptance of the ends of their love story. The memories that they once cherished are now confined and locked away, and the promises they made to each other have been broken. Ultimately, the song expresses the bittersweet reality of love's fading embers and the lasting effects of a failed relationship.

Las mentiras los que mienten
The lies of those who lie
Nos dijimos adios
We said goodbye to each other

Para que regalara tantas flores la vida
Why did life give so many flowers as a gift
Si después en soledad si después en soledad
If you distill them alone afterward, if you distill them alone afterward
Si después en soledad te las destilas
