Roxy Music became a successful act in Europe and Australia during the 1970s. This success began with their self-titled debut studio album in 1972. The band pioneered more musically sophisticated elements of glam rock while significantly influencing early English punk music, and provided a model for many new wave acts while innovating elements of electronic composition. The group also conveyed their distinctive brand of visual and musical sophistication with their focus on glamorous fashions. Ferry and co-founding member Eno have had influential solo careers. Eno became one of the most significant British record producers of the late 20th century. Rolling Stone originally ranked Roxy Music No. 98 on their greatest artists list ("The Immortals – The 100 Greatest Artists of All Time"), but dropped the group from the list when they updated it in 2011.
Roxy Music's final studio album was Avalon (1982), which was certified Platinum in the United States. In 2005, the band began recording what would have become their ninth studio album—and their first album with Eno since 1973 (he wrote two songs for it and also played keyboards). However, Ferry eventually announced that the material from these sessions would instead be released as a Ferry solo studio album, with Eno playing on "a couple of tracks", and that he believed the group would never again produce a record as Roxy Music. The album was released in 2010 as the Ferry solo studio album Olympia. It featured contributions from Eno, Manzanera, and Mackay (amongst many other session players).
In 2011, Roxy Music played a series of 40th-anniversary shows, but went inactive as a performing entity following the concerts. In 2019, Roxy Music were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
In 2022, Roxy Music reformed for a tour to mark the 50th anniversary of their debut studio album.

I wouldn't know, now would I?
Maybe your spirit's breaking up
I shouldn't care, now should I?
Maybe you're thinking of me
Well I don't know, now do I?
If you only knew how I feel
Wish I could die, now don't I?
I'm just another crazy guy
Playing at love was another high
Just another high
Couldn't believe in my eyes
You drifted into my life
But marriages made in heaven
Can they survive in this life?
Surely it came as no surprise
Love was too hot to handle
Well I really blew my cool and you
You just blew out the candle
Didn't you just try just another high?
Didn't you sign as you waved goodbye?
Just another high
I'm just another crazy guy
Playing at love was another high
Such a crazy high
Lately it seems so empty here
But I suppose I'm alright
Maybe tomorrow's not so clear
Still I remember that night
Singing to you like this is
My only way to reach you
Though I'm too proud to say it
Oh how I long too see you
Shattered by dreams, by your goodbye
As shattered my goodbye, as filled the sky
Desolate am I
Just another crazy guy
Playing at love was another high
Such a crazy high
Maybe I should start anew
And maybe I should find someone who
Will maybe love me like I love you
Maybe I'm too stuck on you
Maybe I got stuck on you
The song "Just Another High" by Roxy Music is a melancholy reflection on a failed love affair. The singer is aware that his partner is struggling, but he feels powerless to help her. He is tormented by his own emotions, wishing he could die to escape the pain. Though the two were deeply in love, they were unable to make it work, and their relationship became just another high that ultimately ended in disappointment.
As the song progresses, we get a sense of how overwhelming their love was. It was too hot to handle, and in the end, it consumed them both. The singer's lover has moved on, leaving him feeling desolate and alone. He is haunted by their memories together and is unsure of what the future holds. The song's haunting refrain, "Just another high," serves as a reminder that love can be a fleeting thing and that even the most intense passion can fade away.
In conclusion, "Just Another High" is a poignant reminder of the fragility of love and the pain that can come with it. Roxy Music did an excellent job of capturing the complexity of relationships and the emotional toll that they can take on individuals.
