1) RUIN were hardcore punk rock contemporaries of the 1980s. This was the band that used the name originally. They toured the continental U.S.A. They were acknowleged by Leonard Cohen in SPIN for covering his "Master Song." Maximum Rock'n'Roll ran a feature interview with the band and covered their performances and releases. They contributed to compilation albums and Ruin's vinyl releases of that time, "HE-HO" and "Fiat Lux" were later compiled for a CD reissue in 1996 titled, "Songs of Reverie and Ruin." This stimulated a brief reunion during 1996-1997, which resulted in a performance as the headling act at the Trocadero in Philadelphia. Recordings still show up on ebay from time to time. 2.).A band that is based out of Portland Maine and doesn’t hold back, Ruin is a breath of fresh air for modern day metal. They formed their original lineup in early 2005 as a three piece; including Richard Carey (Guitar/Vocals), Craig Carey (Drums) and Ken Vought (Guitar). Kevin Whitman (bass) joined the lineup in the summer of 07 at the Hands of Enmity CD release party.“Hands of Enmity” is a raw selection of songs that range from speedy, thrashing madness to melodic guitars with soulful leads. Although Ruin is a newer band on the scene, they continue to gain new fans at every show and are constantly expanding, catching the attention of local radio stations and playing opening slots for the incoming national metal bands. The band is currently playing shows in the Portland Maine area to support the debut album, and branching out into northern Maine and New Hampshire. Everyone who has supported this band so far should keep their eyes open for what is in store as Ruin is far from done and continues push the boundaries of their creativity and love for the art of heavy music. They are looking towards the future and preparing to record their second album. The best is yet to come.

The metal is not invested or investiture. Any metal from any work (as long as it is viable) could work for allomancy or feruchemy. The metal acts as a key to preservations investiture. Burning metal allows the person to access investiture. The ability lies within the person, the metal is a key in the lock to access the power

This is correct but maybe just to clarify one thing a little:
An Allomancer doesnt actually have much(if any) extra Investiture inside them even with metals inside them. Only whilst burning does the Investiture flow through them directly from preservation. God Metals like Lerasium an Atium are an exeption to this because they are actually made of Investiture in solid form
