Having watched my fair share of gore since the curiosity childhood, I have grown up to learn to take caution in some important situations like:
It's not wise to jump off the side of a cliff into water (rocks below)
Do not peak into the inside of a garbage compactor
When retrieving heavy objects, don't pull at them when they're over your head or neck
Don't antagonize anyone if you think they may be armed
Crime is real
War is real
Suffering is real
Regardless of the reasons of my curiosity, those gore videos inspired a genuine sadness, concern, and understanding toward human life that I had not felt before watching.
It also served as a serious reminder to be careful not to make the same mistakes as other unfortunate human beings in this world.

3:33 if anyone is wondering why he showed a shuttle launch,

this is the first couple seconds from liftoff the STS-51L, a space shuttle mission launched on Jan 28th, 1986.
aboard was a teacher, set to be the first civilian nasa would launch. Challenger (The Shuttle/Orbiter) would liftoff on a very cold day, which would lead to the following events.

Challenger, 73 seconds into flight would suffer an expanded O-ring, and would explode over the atlantic ocean. all were killed on impact of the ocean. the event is most commonly known as *The Challenger Disaster*

As much as I dislike gore sites, they have taught me at an early age that the world isn't a place full of rainbows or sunshine. That I should be grateful that I was able to move to a first world country.

@hailesankara480

The very reason why removing them would bring rise to what people intend to be “blissful ignorance” , in reality will only create a opening for brazen assholes to upload their content elsewhere , this problem will not go away . Only continue to evolve and constantly find workarounds , which are not in short supply

That’s what I got from them to, seeing videos from Mexico made me glad I live in the US

@waffins7057

Stop immigration and you can prevent your country from becoming a third world.

@ImHeadshotSniper

@@waffins7057 wait.......... what?

you realise immigration is to become one with the "Melting Pot" right? while some might try to bring their violent culture to a civilized country, they will VERY QUICKLY learn that they will be PUNISHED for such actions in a civil society.

not to mention that civility is just intuitive to anyone who isn't morally evil (which unfortunately many religions claim to be a moral proxy even though you could argue that some things in religious books that are defined as moral are STRAIGHT UP, EVIL.)

also not to mention the fact that 3rd world countries progress towards 1st world the more they conjoin with already existing societies. religion and corruption (both methods of control) are the only real things to be concerned about when it comes to degressing into a third world country

I was in such a rush to grow up as kid. I was watching porn and gore sites with my friends in elementary school. We thought we were more grown up because we could handle watching it. I came to realize years later that all this shit was fucking me up. I became desensitized to violence and crazy shit. It changed the way I viewed things. It was bad for my mental health. It was a slippery slope with a bad ending. I stopped watching all that shit years ago, and it’s been good for me. I even saw a shock video not too long ago and got super grossed out by it. I view that as positive progress.

@mattmasi303

I'm sorry but , I don't care how much shock content you watched as a kid if you see something shocking/gorey in real life you will react appropriately. That type of desensitization is a bigger issue than some videos

@@mattmasi303 I found the idea that being able to watch those things would somehow steel you toward real life quite amusing.
