I'm surprised that his finishing blow doesn't necessarily "stack", mainly because the wording on some passives use "Once Only". At the same time I guess it makes sense because of the whole "Effective against all types" part.

I wouldn't be surprised though if we did get some LR Rose or Merged Zamasu that has a killer blow multi-passive

If he didn’t need the finishing blow he’d easily be the best EZA, however he’s just a little inconsistent with that restriction. He’s still really good tho, kinda wish they made both the EZAs gods though (especially after seeing what units are looking like now cough cough trunks and Vegeta cough )

@Picmanreborn Which means it’s a nerf??? Like come on. He’s extra stats are locked onto a restriction which requires you to set things up for him to get it. Why not making it just a once he gets hit? Or maybe just don’t add it at all. Without the extra buff he has less numbers defense and attack are lower than he should be doing and means he will be less impressive in terms of numbers. At this point his only purpose is to be a support unit, and just be a floater of my team which i won’t use him because there’s literally millions of units which can do a better job than this goku black. Want a example? I could just use a Teq eza godku or even better phy future gohan as a replacement. I just run a trunks and vegeta on both rotations, one with godku and the other with future gohan or when i want to have fun i just put the 7th anniversary LR’s for damage. Godku already supports the team with rainbow orbs and also tanks better than 99% of the game. He literally helps the 3rd anniversary LR’s, 4th anniversary LR’s he is a good ki king partner with the best units in the game. He helps LR goku and gohan as well, and what does goku blacks do? Support extreme units? Why should i even run extreme units when i have a full team with super units and can beat the hardest even in the game? If they don’t bring out a LR merged zamasu that has either 70% defense support for extreme future units or works the same as trunks and vegeta where he gets guard at the first slot and can stack attack. So that he could be the tank of the rotation as goku black supports him. If they don’t do it then i don’t care for whatever you tell me about goku black.

It’s not about him being underrated, but because they decide to restrict him which makes him underrated against other units. They could’ve just given my boi anything else like damage reduction or guard and he would’ve been perfect, but no…. “Finishing blow…” what a dumb way to nerf a unit.

He is very situational, all thanks to his damn restrictions. He isn’t definitely a slot 1 unit nor a 2nd slot, so he is basically a floater. VB on the first 2 turns is okay, but once he gets on the 3rd turn he will be close to 400k with 6 to 7 million supers, while having more defense on super. All that without a dumb restriction like rose goku black, and the only thing that holds vb back is the links and the fact that he on the first turn lacks defense or attack. Well the goku black as well does start slow in the 1st turn, so they both have more in common that you think.

I'm not a fan of the finishing blow mechanic in general - I feel like it can force you to move around the unit in the rotation which will ruin your set-up. I'd prefer a turn restriction (maybe after Turn 4 he gets 50% extra - something like that). Rose is already really underrated - his stats are pretty wild for a passive like his.

I would’ve rather him having a damage reduction in his passive instead of the finishing blow. It’s just that with the damage reduction he can at least benefit the sa effect that he has and can be better defensive/support unit for the team. In the 1st slot, because the problem with the extreme rotation in future is that they don’t have that definitive unit that can tank even the strongest supers like brolys supers. I just don’t get why they need to restrict this units by adding useless conditions. Just give him damage reduction and guard and he will be good for a long time. VB atleast can be run as a 2nd slot unit and trunks and vegeta as the 1st one but who is going to protect goku black? A possible LR merged zamasu…? (I hope so…)

STR Rosé post-finishing blow is a MONSTER! He may be amazing on Red Zone stages with multiple enemies, but tbh I'm a bit iffy on single enemy fights, like Omega and Broly. Boujack might be the best stage to showcase him, bc it's gonna be way easier to get the finishing blow on one of the Hera clansmen

@Hazey That’s not the main issue. The main issue is power creep as time passes harder events come, and if red zone is the current hardest event in the game. Imagine what events wait for us in the future, look at units like trunks and vegeta literally in every content they are gods. They don’t have dumb restrictions nor bad partners(talking about partners as if a unit that helps the others like a Merged zamasu LR not link partners) this is not old dokkan anymore. If a unit has 300k defense is not enough anymore. Raw defense is nothing at this point of the game, and yes red zone is one of the most important events, because it’s literally not only the hardest but the only good content aside from ESBR that can actually give us a challenge. If they would’ve give goku black damage reduction or guard, not only he could’ve age better by time as harder content comes out, but also work even better. 5 million and 250k? Bro, there’s units that could do average 6 million and 400k defense and would still be solid, but raw defense isn’t gonna cut it in harder content. Yeah, you go and play your normal dokkan events, which no one ever does at this point. When there’s end game content like rz, it’s definitely really important just like ESBR and SBR are also important. Even battlefield is getting harder, which means units like goku black will slowly become useless by time. Meanwhile units like teq ultimate gohan will still be relevant and useful in the future. See what i mean? Let me shorten it out for you Raw defense = mid if it’s not above 500k. Damage = 6 to 7 million on average like i mean vb can easily do it. Like bro nowadays units that do 20 million damage like kaioken LR goku or units like Phy ssj3 which does 4 additional 8 million attacks. You need to start watching more dokkan vids or play even more if you think 5 million and 250k is not mid. Btw I don’t even run him on my team with trunks and vegeta, since teq eza godku is way better for me. Better tank, can seal, gives rainbow orbs for LR’s like trunks and vegeta, 3rd anniversary LRs, 4th anniversary LR’s and 7th anniversary LRs even LR goku and gohan benefit as well. Plus he can also tank the hardest events and do all sorts of content while helping the team? Now that’s what a real mvp is, this goku black is basically “I want to do everything, but only can do a few things at a time.”

@Saitama... The restriction isn't that bad you'll probably get it most of the time if you really want it. Actually finishing a phase with a specific character isn't that hard when you don't have every other unit rainbowed with lvl 10 links on a 200% team on the hardest content in the game.

And i don’t get why people think that is okay to put a restriction in units like this meanwhile you get units like eza teq ssg goku which is perfect in every way, but they fucked up the goku blacks. It started with Int Transforming goku black and it ends with this one…. They could’ve just switch his finishing blow for a once you get hit and it would’ve been a thousand times better. If you don’t get the last blow you’ll be below 400k defense and that is a no, no for most of the harder content. Plus his sa effect is bad, like you’ll most of the time run him as a floater and it would’ve been better having him get defense on super instead of buffing others, which won’t work on the last slot. Atleast VB can have 9 million supers and 500k defense with a extra 50% on super which is for me better but still not the best for me. Both of these units could’ve been a lot better, but they are good but not the best of the eza’s tbh.

@Jose Camacho Idk my 55% vb just got 400k defense and has defense on super so he gets even higher than you think. He also does 6 to 7 million additionals. My 55% goku black needs to land a finishing blow if he wants to reach vegito’s defense(attack is out of the question) the only thing i can give credit for to goku black is that he is mostly a support unit rather than a 1 slot or 2nd slot unit.

I was doing the challenge for the gt lge with the janemba team (can’t remember the name) and int goku black was slapping a 3.5 atk stat with like 600k def by the time i got to teq fpssj4 goku, he’s a great buff for any team that runs around extreme units, imo better than Vb

I actually like him more then Vegito. Get the finishing blow and you keep him on rotation, but no full passive and he'll remain a better floating support then others. He has utility. His support and having Big Bad Bosses makes him very useful. Hopefully the future Extreme Realm of god cards are really good. That side of the category really needs help and is super shallow atm.

I feel it’s fair to say for anything not Red Zome or Legendary events Rose is the better unit. Not only is he more consistent but that finishing blow would be easy to manage and won’t hold him back.

Vegito against shorter content that can kill you early and doesn’t give you the luxury to stack will be clapped easily however you don’t have to micro manage him as much as Rose and if you get unlucky you’ll feel it WAY more with Rose than Vegito especially in long running content.

I will however reserve full judgement until I see him in red zone.

I guess their idea was "If Rosé has a lot of damage, then he can kill easier and proc the buff" or something like that... Though I would love if he would stack defense, then he would be the strongest Rosé in the game for sure.

So maybe crit for the damage is not bad, but even so both crit and additional like Kid Buu seem like the optimal build dont know...

@Mttsubie support units in their best situation dont put up 9 mil attack stats, dont get me wrong I agree, but the most important part of his kit is to deal that finishing blow, you can argue that its meaningless to give crit because he gets super effective eventually, but my point is for him to kill fast and then I know he is solid the rest of the match.

I believe Goku Rosé has potential to do damage if I want him to, so I dont think he is your tipical support because power creep, I never said as well that I would give him full crit either, his super attack supports the team I think so a mix in my oppinion is not a bad idea. Hell if he is just to support might as well give him full dodge.

I wonder if the idea behind these Rosé and Zamasu units is kinda like the Ginyu Force.

Just make them all have some sort of support so the units will always be getting buffs, even if it’s just attack and defense. Very akin to the Top Tier Ginyu Force team atm.

Completely agree! They just needed to put his finishing blow passive as a “Once he gets hit” or gave him damage reduction or guard in the first slot so that he could be ran in the first slot. Guard would be to broken but having damage reduction on top of a 400k to 600k defense is more than enough for him to be a 1 slot unit.

@Saitama... meh I don't really see him as a slot one unit even after he eza'd the buff from his super attack was just a byproduct of him having that when he released but they just wouldn't remove from him cause that be dumb and as a floater giving the team 50% stats he is great I dont think he is the best eza tur but when he gets amazing partners that he supports he will be up there

@Dupe Frog Yeah, but the only problem is that without the extra buff he gets he’ll barely reach top 4 for me. Like if he had some type of damage reduction so that he could follow his main purpose that is to be a 1st slot unit. Like i will only use him as a floater just because he is a support but i am regretting taking out my eza teq godku.

@Saitama... when the goku black and zamasu units get better than I think he can get it easier since the rose can get a 200% leader skill which will help him out alot plus he isint completely terrible without the kill buff as with a 200% leader skill he can hit 400k post super probably and with him floating as a support that's pretty good

@Dupe Frog yep, the only problem is that it’s very situational. You’ll need the perfect moment for him to have the finishing blow, and not every time you’ll be able to get it. Since if you’re team has units like the 7th anniversary LRs and the trunks and vegeta chances are that they will most of the time kill the enemy.

ok so for example lets say goku black gets 150% def start of turn and 50% support, in total that is 200% def start of turn.
When this goku black kills an enemy the 50% procs on his start of turn def which is 200% so
200% + (50%x200%) = 300% defense instead of being 200%+50% = 250% and it can only happen once so no matter how many enemies you defeat you can only get the buff once

i think for units with a finishing blow mechanic they should do what they did with the LR gohan/trunks where its easy to die with gohan for the revive mechanic - if an enemy is at (insert low HP% here) the unit gets +(insert ATK% here) to almost guarantee to get the finishing blow

Or they could just make it work like str broly where str broly can easily get it because he's launching effetively a 12 million attack stat with his double supers and super effective agaisnt all types if the enemy is low hp.
It being tied to a support unit that doesn't do great damage without it means it's a lot more rng to guarantee the kill.

idk this rose seems pretty good even if he doesn't get the finishing blow..... because nano did a video with him and vegito blue like 7 hours ago (as of this comment) and he did pretty good in the red zone (the one he did was with baby (rose) did pretty well in terms of normals)

Getting the finishing blow isn’t that hard to get considering the many phases some of these bosses have, with that being said it isn’t easy either plus the new lr zamasu might cuck rose’s passive

@Cheese Nah, for me he is 3rd to 4th he is better of as a floater. And btw I didn’t say he lack linking partner i said he lack a partner meaning the LR merged zamasu. For now he isn’t viable for me in the future team, since my team is already able to destroy broly without goku black so adding him would make my team less stronger to begin with.

@Saitama... he doesn’t lack a linking partner, agl goku black holds his own plus a potential part 2 merged zamasu LR. I understand if you don’t get the buff and get supered you will be fucked. But at the same time I feel like people are making the restriction out to be worse than it actually is. Early on rose would be able to decently thank a super in these stages, by the time you get to the harder and later phases you have a good chance of getting that buff off if you plan it correctly. I’m not saying it’s easy or consistent to get the buff. rose is the best or second best Eza. A crazy support who is able to bust out 6 mill with 250k defense 50% on super, then with the buff it is 9 mill with 400k 50% on super.

@Cheese That’s no the main problem. The main problem is that even if he could take normals from the hardest events except broly i think. He wants to be a main unit in the rotation but he is just a support unit, since he doesn’t have enough defense to take a super and doesn’t have a better partner that can also help him by tanking a super while he tanks normals. He wants to do everything but can’t that’s what goku black is. He has almost everything in his kit but can’t properly use it all, because he lacks a partner, his restriction hurts him in harder events without a 200% leader skill, etc.

@Saitama... every restriction is situational also all because he wouldn’t be able to tank a super from the hardest bosses in the game without his full passive doesn’t mean he isn’t great. He still is a great unit regardless, if they didn’t restrict that part of his passive he would be easily a top 10 unit in the game maybe even top 5.

@PapaParry How is it a dumb idea? You get it like 100% of the time and you can either get it in 1 slot or 2nd slot. Meanwhile i already struggle to get his finishing blow without my other units like the LR 7th anniversary units or trunks and vegeta taking the last blow. Instead of being a situational restriction is a more consistent one.

Edit: even worse i have reached the last fights on rz without getting the last kill with goku black. That’s insane lmao at that point my vb is fully build up!

problem is no clue when rose will geta 200 percent, super gets so many more 200 percent leaders due to way more super dfe and every 4 out of 5 lr dfe being super hurts extreme so dang badly which normally leads to many extreme units aging out before getting help or a good leader

@Wright Wright lr dfe counts as well, those are dfe, and super has gotten 3 of those this year, and last year super class got like 7-8 super class dfe in a row, thats the problem, super gets 4 lr dfe a year and extreme only gets one, and extreme is stuck getting yellow coin lrs that have 150 percent leads not 200 like dfe lrs so they end up with no teams to run on

Let's just come to realization that a support eza tur just did effetively a 15 million attack stat and people cope with lr trunks and vegeta's as well as majin vegeta's damage calling it good for there class of unit.
