The band came to public attention with their performance of "Soul Sacrifice" at Woodstock in 1969. This exposure helped propel their first album, also named Santana, into a hit, followed in the next two years by Abraxas and Santana III. Lineup changes were common. Carlos Santana's increasing involvement with guru Sri Chinmoy took the band into more esoteric music, though it never lost its Latin influence.

In 1998, the band Santana was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with Carlos Santana, José "Chepito" Areas, David Brown, Gregg Rolie, Mike Carabello, and Michael Shrieve The band has earned nine Grammy Awards and three Latin Grammy Awards, the latter all in 2000. Carlos Santana won a Grammy Award as a solo artist in 1988. The band has sold more than 100 million records worldwide, making them one of the world's best-selling groups of all time. In 2013, Santana announced a reunion of the classic line-up for a new album, Santana IV, which was released in April 2016. They are tied for having the most won Grammy Awards in one night.

Santana fan for 50+ years, but admit I never heard of the ''Power of Peace'' album until today. I would not listen to any of the songs again. I agree with one of the more ''kinder'' reviews, ''There are simply no moments within that make you drop what you’re doing and forget where you are.'' When all’s said and done, it is an album that does stand out in the music world today.

Individually I am a HUGE Ernie Isley fan. I have seen the Isleys perform MANY times. I have also always loved Carlos Santana's music .. However together, this song sounds very empty. I'm sorry. I have to be very honest. There is only ONE noticeable Ernie Isley "guitar solo" on this track and it was only maybe 10 seconds if that.

Carlos sounds like his rhythm guitar is overpowering the song and I don't think I noticed any "Santana" guitar solo like Im used to hearing from him

Ron Isley's vocals sound great actually but the lyrical content is just very empty. I don't get it. Its like they came up with lyrics in 30 mins. I respect that this album is supposed to promote peace and whatnot.. I love the idea..thats what we need in 2017. But "musically" speaking this track disappointed me as a fan of both artists. I will wait for the full album to drop and I will try to remain hopeful.
