Overall Meaning

In Sarkodie's song Vintage Flow, he sings about his current state of mind and the changes and developments in his life. He starts by saying that he had a conversation with a group of people, and feels that they need a "worducation," meaning, they need to be educated with words or knowledge. Sarkodie then mentions that he took some time off to relax and may still be on probation, but he needs cooperation from those around him to move forward. He also mentions his daughter, Titi, and how she deserves his full attention, yet he still goes to the source to rap. He explains that he doesn't feel forced to rap, but does it for himself and his fans. He then states that he doesn't care about lazy hype, and that this song is for the culture, and to take away the negativity and undue influence from the music industry.

Sarkodie goes on to mention the second coming of Okomfo Anokye, a well-known priest in Ghanaian history, and that he believes in rapper Strongman Burner. He also references Nyakop)n, which could be a nod to the town in Ghana where he grew up. He mentions that he is cautious and takes things slowly, comparing himself to young fella, and aligning himself with John the Baptist. Sarkodie then mentions not wanting to be bothered by Don Chaga, and how he has to swerve people who are not helpful to him. He ends the verse saying that he is on flight mode, a reference to his focus on moving forward and not looking back.
