3. A brief project from 1987 involving Bill Nelson, Dary Runswick, Mary King and Electric Phoenix. The ensemble recorded two soundtrack pieces for Channel 4 (UK)'s film "Brond".
The name Scala has also been used by: 4. a Italo-Disco act, 5. a House act and 6. a Progressive Trance act.

In Scala's song "Denkmal," the singer urges their partner to come to the window and view a newly erected monument of themselves made of stone, located at a plaza in front of a grocery store. The singer reflects on how the monument will ruin their love, and how they plan to hire the worst graffiti artists in the city to deface it with slogans. As they discuss the vandalism, the singer becomes increasingly urgent, urging their partner to stand up and grab a sledgehammer to destroy the monument before someone catches them. The inscription at the base of the monument declares that they are to "rest in eternity." Impressive Translation. And i mean it. However, "that this love will wreck it" is not the true translation, from german to english it would mean: " it wrecks the love" as in the memorial kills the love that was there.

@solroslover Im sure they know what they are singing.. but im not sure you know, what you are hearing, this interpretation is everything but sad..! And thats all that matters. It sounds different than the original and thats ok, otherwise it is not a new and their own interpretation of the song. By the way, its pretty difficult to sing a song "rebellious" in a choir, i speak of my own experience.. So i like this version, i think its a wonderful piece of art!
