The father is mourning because he has to come to terms with the fact that his son is gone forever.

No amount of tears or grieving can bring the victim back to life.

I went to Washington D.C., but justice has not yet been served for the actions of the unabomber.

I am skeptical of this utopian outlook and believe that things will remain the same.
