School Gyrls Lyrics

[Chorus]
Twelve days ain't enough
For us to fall in love
I'm dreaming of you day and night
Tell me baby what we didn't do right
'Cause we were kissing under the mistletoe (oh)
Baby twelve days, (twelve days), twelve days
Ain't enough, ain't enough to fall in love
On the first day of Christmas
I was by myself, it was only me
On the second day of Christmas
I met you downtown by the Christmas tree
On the third and fourth day of Christmas
You were on my mind
By day six I gotta admit
I wanted to give us a try (oh right)
[Chorus]
On the seventh day of Christmas boy
I swear that we were feeling like
We were both skating on ice
Me and you, you and me
Kissing under red and green lights
By day ten, I knew then
You would soon be gone.
The School Gyrls' song Deck The Halls is about how 12 days of Christmas are not enough to fall completely in love with someone. The song describes the journey of the singer meeting someone special on the second day of Christmas and feeling intrigued by them on the third and fourth days.
As the days go on, the two spend more time together, enjoying each other's company and exchanging kisses under the mistletoe before having to part ways. However, by the tenth day, the singer realizes that the time is almost up and that the person they have grown to like will soon be gone.
The song expresses the frustration of not being able to fully get to know someone in such a short amount of time and the longing for more time to spend with them. The catchy chorus emphasizes this feeling, with the repetition of "twelve days ain't enough" driving the point home.
Overall, the song is a fun and upbeat take on the classic holiday tune that speaks to the desire to connect and find love during the festive season.
