グロテスクロマンティッカー (Gurotesuku Romantikkaa/Grotesque Romantica) was formed in late 2002 but officially debuted in March 2003. In May they changed their name to Schwardix Marvally and toured Japan mostly with the UNDER CODE PRODUCTION entourage.
The band signed with the Third Stage-based label kapparecords and released their first mini-album, which was the final part of a series of three tributes to Visual Kei bands. The release was supported by several guests and included three covers (including a cover of Hisui's and Airi's former band Madeth gray'll) and their first self-composed song. Shortly after that bassist Rum joined the trio as a permanent member.
Their first actual release was their "Heaven's Romance" mini-album in January of 2004, shortly after which the group disbanded due to Airi's decision to leave the music scene entirely.
Their last concert took place at Meguro Rockmaykan on April 17th 2004.
After the disbandment of Schwardix Marvally, HIZAKI launched his solo career, then became lead guitarist in the band Versailles and Jupiter, Rum apparently left the music scene, and Hisui has only played in a few sessions bands.

The lyrics to Schwardix Marvally's song "Virgin Mary" speak of the beginning of a relationship and the uncertainties that come with it. The singer expresses how everything may become unclear eventually, and how they are currently singing for the faded words that were once in their tears. However, despite the possible lack of clarity, people strive towards their dreams and hope for a better tomorrow, despite being surrounded by hypocrites, who only laugh at the singer who has fallen hopelessly in love with dreams and illusions. The singer hopes for the day they can fly away from the world of despair.
The lyrics suggest a moment of intense passion, where the singer desires to be held so tightly that they both may break. The singer wishes for a nostalgic song as they whisper forbidden words with a sigh. The singer reflects upon how they may have lost sight of the things and people that were once important to them and why they need to hold onto memories.
Finally, the singer seems to accept that sometimes, they must put on a facade and pretend to be happy even if that means saying goodbye to someone they love. They hope that the pain they feel will eventually subside, and they can forget about their sadness. However, in the end, the singer realizes that they cannot escape from their misery, and they may have to close their eyes and look beyond the sadness to carry on with life.

Totally agree. I loved it when early 2000 bands still tried to be Kote Kei. Nowadays everyone became too obsessed with the Oshare kei variant. Which don't get me wrong also has some good stuff.
