Brave New World
Scott Lavender Lyrics

Beauty not needed here
Lost my love, lost my life
In this garden of fear
I have seem many things
In a lifetime alone
Mother love is no more
Bring this savage back home
Wilderness house of pain
Makes no sense of it all
Close this mind dull this brain
Messiah before his fall
What you see is not real
Those who knows will not tell
All is lost sold your souls
To this brave new world
A brave new world in a brave new world
A brave new world in a brave new world
In a brave new world, a brave new world
In a brave new world, a brave new world
Dragons kings dying queens
Where is salvation now
Lost my life, lost my dreams
Rip the bones from my flash
Silent screams laughing here
Dying to tell you the truth
You are planned and you are dammed
In this brave new world
A brave new world in a brave new world
A brave new world in a brave new world
In a brave new world, a brave new world
In a brave new world, a brave new world
A brave new world in a brave new world
A brave new world in a brave new world
In a brave new world, a brave new world
In a brave new world, a brave new world
Dying swans twisted wings
Bring this savage back home
In the song "Brave New World" by Scott Lavender, the lyrics describe a world that is bleak and full of suffering. The opening lines of "dying swans twisted wings, beauty not needed here" suggests a world where even beauty has no place. The singer has lost their love and their life as they navigate a "garden of fear." The next lines describe how the singer has seen many things in their lifetime, but Mother love is no more. This line implies that even maternal care is absent, reinforcing the idea of a world that is unfeeling and uncaring.
Further along in the song, the lyrics suggest the world is governed by a cruel and capricious force. The lines "wilderness house of pain, makes no sense of it all" describes a place where suffering and torture are commonplace. The reference to the "Messiah before his fall" is likely a comment on how religious belief can be twisted and exploited for cruel purposes. The final lines of the song are a plea to bring back a more primitive way of life, as the singer declares that we are all "planned and damned" in this brave new world. Overall, the song seems to be a warning against a world that values power and control over empathy and compassion.
