By 1996 he was thoroughly bored by European dance music and moved to Santiago, Chile to explore Latin music. He quickly adopted the intentionally ridiculous Señor Coconut moniker, and soon released El Gran Baile, finding time afterwards to do a little remix work for Towa Tei, formerly of the multi-national Deee-Lite.
His next release, in 2000, was the delightful Latin-Kraftwerk fusion of El Baile Alemán. The album featured several Kraftwerk classics reworked with Latin instrumentation and rhythm. The LP was intended as a salute to, and a parody of Kraftwerk as evidenced by the intro to Autobahn which features the sound of a car that won't start.

Don't ride the white horse
If you want to ride
Don't ride the white horse
White horse
Don't ride the white horse
White horse
Don't ride the white horse
If you want to be rich
You got to be a bitch
You got to be a bitch
I said rich
Rich, you bitch
If you want to ride
Ride the white pony
Ride, ride the white pony
White pony, white pony
The lyrics of Señor Coconut's song "White Horse" convey a message of caution against indulging in harmful substances that can ruin lives. The song starts off with the refrain "If you want to ride, don't ride the white horse" repeated multiple times, which serves as a metaphor for cocaine usage. The next line, "If you want to be rich, you got to be a bitch," highlights the pressure faced by many people to succeed and make money at any cost, even if it means resorting to immoral behavior.
The lyrics then take a more explicit turn as the chorus changes to "If you want to ride, ride the white pony," which refers to heroin usage. The repetition of "ride, ride the white pony, white pony, white pony" adds a sense of urgency and perhaps even addiction to the message of the song. Finally, the song ends with the repetition of "White horse, don't ride the white horse" as a reminder of the dangers of drug abuse.
Overall, "White Horse" is a commentary on the destructive power of drugs and the negative consequences they can have on individuals and society as a whole. By using coded language and euphemisms, the lyrics are able to convey this message in a catchy and memorable way.
