Mountains
Sean C. Johnson Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Crank it up let it spin at 33 RPM
Getting as high as I want to be
I'm so excited I just can't hide it
Rolling up purple trees
Getting high with my dog
Is where you'll find me
Listening to Iommi
High as a mountain
Come get high as I be
I've got all the marijuana
And the bong water's clean
So if you want to get high
Then you should get high with me
Cause I'm as high as a mountain
Come get high as I be
I'm so excited I just can't hide it
Rolling up purple trees
Crank it up let it spin at 33 RPM
Getting as high as I want to be
Getting high with my dog
Is where you'll find me
Listening to Iron Monkey
High as a mountain
Come get high as I be
I've got all the marijuana
And the bong water's clean
So if you want to get high
Then you should get high with me
Cause I'm as high as a mountain
Come get high as I be
High as a mountain
So far gone
High as a mountain
High as a mountain
Oh!
I'm so excited I just can't hide it
Rolling up purple trees
Crank it up let it spin at 33 RPM
Getting as high as I want to be
Getting high with my dog
Is where you'll find me
Listening to some Sleep
High as a mountain
Come get high as I be
I've got all the marijuana
And the bong water's clean
So if you want to get high
Then you should get high with me
Cause I'm as high as a mountain

Come get high as I be
Oh!

This song is holding me up currently because EVERYTHING seems to be chaotic, mainly my family and relationship, the two most important/closest things to my heart (second to Jesus) and makes me think of this scripture below;

James 1:2-4 (Amplified)
Consider it nothing but joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever fall into various trials.
Be assured that the testing of your faith [through experience] produces endurance [leading to spiritual maturity, and inner peace].
And let endurance have its perfect result and do a thorough work, so that you may be perfect and completely developed [in your faith], lacking in nothing.

If I was not where I am in Christ today, I would have been panicking and falling apart with all that is going on around me. But I have inner peace and consider this ALL JOY because I KNOW that my Father has already got the finished work in His hand and that He got me! I will not weep, I will not be stripped of my authority to pray over these situations and call them as though they are there ahead of me, and not as though they look right now.

Endurance is the key. Peace is the key.

What's crazy is I've listened to this song more times than I can count and I never comprehended that in this song God is the one giving the mountains so that we can go higher, I took it as we give him our mountains so that he can be exalted. Amazing
