History
The band, consisting of five members, was called Stutterfly until a key member, Chris Stickney, decided to leave shortly after they were dropped from Maverick Records. Stickney soon moved to a band called Oceans Apart. The rest of the band, Bradyn Byron, Jason Ciolli, Jordan Chase and Ryan Loerke, approached Charles Finn (then named Charles Furney), a friend and former member of thebleedingalarm, who used to tour with them, to be their new lead singer. The new line-up became Secret and Whisper on February 24, 2007. They decided to think of a new band name because of the completely different sound that Charles' voice brought to the band.
The band signed to Tooth & Nail Records and the first album, Great White Whale was released on February 12, 2008. "XOXOXO" was released as a single off the album with an accompanying music video.
On September 15, 2009 in a MySpace blog, Charles announced the official departure of Bradyn Byron. The band has since recruited David Ecker as guitarist. Ecker previously played guitar for Oceans Apart with former Stutterfly member Chris Stickney.
The first single off the second album, Teenage Fantasy, was "Warrior (Southern Arrowwood)". The album was released on April 6, 2010. On February 4, 2011, the band released a B-side track "Pixie" through myspace.
On July 12, 2011 it was announced via Facebook note that the band was going on a hiatus. Members of S&W Jordan Chase, Ryan Loerke and David Ecker have since gone on to form the band Shreddy Krueger.

Secret And Whisper Lyrics

Remind me of you tonight
You're wild and fragile
You know the city where I come from
The secrets I'm never telling anyone
Machinery, don't fail me
I'm fixing these things
She's drawing X and O's
Into her pantyhose
You know the city where I come from
The secrets I'm never telling anyone
Machinery, don't fail me
I'm fixing these things
As they're falling apart
We were walking to the corner store
When she'd cry and start to hide
We were talking about the dinosaurs
And how they died
And how they died
Machinery, don't fail me
I'm fixing these things
As they're falling apart
The lyrics to "XOXOXO" by Secret And Whisper describe a stormy and windy night that reminds the singer of someone they miss. This person is described as wild and fragile, with knowledge of the singer's hometown and secrets they've never shared with anyone else. The singer seems to be preoccupied with "fixing" things as they fall apart, possibly indicating that they're trying to move on from this person and the memories they bring up.
Throughout the song, there's an interesting interplay between the themes of nature and technology. The stormy weather sets the scene, but the singer's thoughts are also dominated by machinery and its potential to fail. This could be a commentary on the way technology has gradually come to replace traditional ways of living and communicating, leaving us more isolated and distant from each other.
The final lines of the song hint at a deeper meaning behind the singer's fixation on machinery: "We were talking about the dinosaurs/And how they died/And how they died." This could be interpreted as a metaphor for the impermanence of all things, including relationships and memories. No matter how hard we try to hold on to them, they will inevitably fade away with time.
