We know where this is going,
I'm done take me home,home,
I can't wait forever,
For you to get yourself together.
I'd rather be alone,
I'm so tired of pretending,
Wish I could put a spell on you,
Wish I could make you feel like I do,
Wouldn't that be sweet so magical,
Wish I could blink and wave a wand,
Get everything that I ever wanted,
And put a spell on you,
And make it all come true,
You taught me what I know,
Guys like you come and go,
But I know things can change
See my heart it may be broken,
But that wont stop me hoping
Wish I could put a spell on you,
Wish I could make you feel like I do,
Wouldn't that be sweet so magical,
Wish I could blink and wave a wand,
Get everything that I ever wanted,
And put a spell on you,
And make it all come true,
I just wanna know what we should've done,
Wanna figure out what we could've become,
'Cause I know in my heart I'm not over you,
I just wanna go back and try it again,
Turn back the time this isn't the end of us,
This isn't the end of us
This isn't the end of us
Whoa
Wish I could put a spell on you,
Wish I could make you feel like I do,
Wouldn't that be sweet so magical,
Wish I could blink and wave a wand,
Get everything that I ever wanted,
And put a spell on you,
And make it all come true,
Wish I could put a spell on you,
Wish I could make you feel like I do,
Wouldn't that be sweet so magical,
Wish I could blink and wave a wand,
Get everything that I ever wanted,
And put a spell on you,
And make it all come true,
The song Magical by Selena Gomez speaks of the desires of the heart for an unrequited love. The song speaks of wanting to put a spell on someone, to make them feel the same way she does. The lyrics emphasize the hopeless romantic's wishful thinking to have the power to make someone love them back by waving a wand, blinking an eye or just casting a spell. The song also speaks of being tired of pretending and wanting a happy ending. Selena sings of knowing things can change, and she's hoping things will go her way, even if her heart has been left broken.
Selena's use of metaphors in the lyrics of the song Magical shows the extent to which she was longing for love. From the lines "talk inside a circle, never-ending cycle" to "wish I could blink and wave a wand," she shows how much she wishes for everything to be perfect with her love life.
The last few lines of the song suggest that the heartbroken Selena Gomez would love to go back in time to try again with the one she loves. She emphasizes that it isn't the end of them—the end of their love story. She wants to try again to turn back the hands of time.
