Debut album Stranger Than Fiction was released in 2008. A new album was planned but looked set to be put aside following the announcement of Dover's involvement of "supergroup" Guns of Destruction (which featured Tracii Guns of L.A. Guns and Brides of Destruction, Chip Z'Nuff of Enuff Z'Nuff as well as Steven Adler of Adler's Appetite and formerly of Guns N' Roses) however Dover dismissed these rumours and announced they were recording a new EP with the tentative title of Devil Angel.

In regards to Una, she was presumably the first sibling that was gotten rid of because she could bare male heirs and was tricked into being Saltwater Sal’s slave which in a way saved her.

Mainly because she could have sons who could inherit the throne incase anything happened to her brothers and the reason she gave him to his father because she knew her brothers may have killed him.

Plus the King could have had his people or sons look for her, save for 2 reasons.

1 : with Sal moving around a lot and transforming Una into a bird, they were probably unaware that it was her.

2: they chose not too, should she reveal everything and Una would marry and have children

It took me this long to Realize that all the Sons have their Roman Numerals incorporated into their Outfit.
Primus has a Dodecadon pattern made of I on his coat
Secundus has II everywhere, his is obvious.
Tertius has III down the sides of his jacket and Embossed on his waistcoat
Quartus has VI embossed on his Jacket
Quintus has a Diamond Pattern on his Sleeping Gown, made up of V upside down and right side up
Sextus has VI embossed onto the Mantle of his coat.
Septimus has VII Between the buttons of his Tunic under his coat.
And, though it may not be intentional, the King's fur coat has a Pattern that seems to incorporate 0

I love how this scene avoids cliches so well. We have a heroic looking character enter to triumphant music and acting very respectful. We almost think he may be our new king until he's pushed out a window. Brilliant !!!

I just realized that Septimus killed over half of his brothers...
He burned Sextus, axed Quintus, pushed Secondus, and poisoned Tertius. What a lovely sibling.

@Thomas Jiang No, Septimus tried to poison both Tertius and Primus. However the Bishop drank from the cup intended for Primus, which led to the Bishop dying instead. Septimus pretended to be poisoned as well because he thought it would be funny to see how Primus would react.

If you watch Primus's face during the poisoning scene he's clearly surprised by it all. After Septimus reveals what actually happened, Primus immediately looks guilty because he realized the Bishop died for him. Primus was actually one of the better brothers.

It's funny how all seven sons are named after the Latin numbers 1-7. Even more so, it is said that the word secundus also holds the meaning for luck. Unfortunately, not only was he unlucky, but Mr. Ambitious got "offed the throne." I just love this movie.

Except that the princes calculated that by the time that Una could had sired any child, one of them would be king and thus the child wouldn't suppose any danger to his uncle's rule, as the games are among the same generation of royalty (just between brothers, not nephews and uncles). Also that's why it seems all the princes are bachelors and without any child out of wedlock, because no one among the brothers would had stopped from using their nephew as a hostage to make their brother surrender.

It goes to the male heir. The successor is chosen by who survives the rest, ergo the most cunning, smart and daring, because of that having a woman take the throne would also mean she'd have to bear a dozen or so offsprings, not really what you would want from the ruler of a nation to do for 12 YEARS. Plus there is a chance of things not going well during labour so having a female heir in anything close to medievil setting is a bad idea.

I miss when they made good standalone films. No sequels, no plans for sequels, no loose threads, no prequel lore, no heavy exposition. Just some incredible actors having fun in a fantasy world. It wouldn’t be made today, not unless they hoped to make four more and have a McDonald’s tie in.

I think Tertius was too hesitant. With actions like that you have to act fast like Septimus did. Tertius just couldn't do it. Look at how slow he walks up to Septimus and how slow he attempts to do it.

Okay so,
After somebody pointed out that all of the princes' names are First-Seventh in Latin,
I noticed that their clothes have the Roman numerals of what number they were, in this scene you can clearly see Primos has I on his clothes, Secundus has II, Terteus? (No idea how to spell that) has III and Septimus has VII.

And Una, being the only girl is basically 1. And that was the only time the father sounded disapproving about them killing each other - when he thought Septimus had killed her. And the only time Septimus seemed offended at being accused of killing someone. It was nice that they did seem genuinely happy to see her again.
