1, Shaggy (born October 22, 1969, in Kingston, Jamaica as Orville Richard Burrell), is a Jamaican reggae artist who takes his nickname from his shaggy hair. He is especially notable for his distinctive sub-baritone voice.
His family immigrated to the United States and they settled in the neighborhood of Flatbush, Brooklyn, located in New York City, New York, USA.
In 1988, he joined the United States Marine Corps and served during Operation Desert Storm during the Persian Gulf War.
On his return from Iraq, he decided to pursue his music career and his first hit in 1993: "Oh Carolina", was a dancehall re-make of a ska hit by the Folkes Brothers. The same year, Shaggy appeared on Kenny Dope's hip hop album "The Unreleased Project". He worked together with producers such as Sting Intl., Don One (who cut his first track), Lloyd 'Spiderman' Campbell and Robert Livingston. He had further big hits, including "Boombastic" in 1995.
He then had a major comeback in 2001, featuring worldwide number-one hit singles "It Wasn't Me" and "Angel," the latter of which was built around Merrilee Rush's 1968 hit "Angel of the Morning" (which was remade in 1981 by Juice Newton). The album Hot Shot, from which those cuts came, would hit number one on the Billboard 200.
However, his 2002 release Lucky Day, and the 2005 album Clothes Drop failed to match Hot Shot's success.
Shaggy performed the theme for Showtime (film), a 2002 movie.
2, Shaggy, a swedish rock/blues rock band from the 1970's. Released one album, "Lessons for beginners"

Come fly with me, let's fly, let's fly away
If you can use some exotic booze, there's a rum bar in JA
Come fly with me, let's fly, let's fly away
Come fly with me, let's float down to Peru
In llama land, there's a one man band
Come fly with me, let's take off in the blue
Once I get you up there, where the air is rarefied
We'll just glide, starry-eyed
Once I get you up there, I'll be holding you so near
You might hear all the angels cheer because we're together
Weather wise, it's such a lovely day
Just say the words and we'll beat the birds down to Acapulco Bay
It's perfect for a flying honeymoon, they say
Come fly with me, let's fly, let's fly away
Sell off
Whoa
Ay
Once I get you up there, where the air is rarefied
We'll just glide, starry-eyed
Once I get you up there, I'll be holding you so near
You may hear angels cheer because we're together
Weather wise, it's such a lovely day
Just say the words and we'll beat the birds down to ol' Montego Bay
It's perfect for a flying honeymoon, they say
Come fly with me, let's fly, let's fly
Pack up and fly away
The lyrics to Shaggy's song "Come Fly with Me" depict a carefree and adventurous invitation to escape everyday life and embark on a journey filled with excitement and romance. The repeated phrase "Chiddi-bang-bang-bang-bang-bang-bang" serves as a catchy and playful intro, setting the energetic tone of the song.
The singer invites the listener to join him on a flight to Jamaica (JA) where they can indulge in exotic drinks at a rum bar. This suggests a desire for a fun and spontaneous escape, away from the mundane and into a tropical paradise. The repetition of "Come fly with me, let's fly, let's fly away" emphasizes the eagerness for adventure and the freedom of leaving all worries behind.
The lyrics then suggest floating down to Peru, a country known for its llamas and vibrant culture. The mention of a one-man band playing the flute highlights the idea of indulging in the local music and immersing oneself in new experiences. "Let's take off in the blue" further emphasizes the desire to explore new places and embrace the unknown.
When the singer mentions getting the listener "up there," it symbolizes reaching a higher state of happiness and joy, where the air is rarefied. This conveys a sense of being on cloud nine and experiencing pure bliss. The mention of gliding starry-eyed implies a sense of enchantment and wonderment in each other's company.
The lyrics suggest that the weather is perfect for a flying honeymoon, indicating that this journey is not only about adventure but also about love and romance. The singer suggests beating the birds to Acapulco Bay, further highlighting the desire for a dreamy and idyllic setting. The mention of Montego Bay in the following verse adds to the idea of finding a romantic destination to escape to.
The lyrics conclude with the line "Pack up and fly away," serving as a final call to leave behind the confines of daily life and embark on this dreamlike journey. This phrase encapsulates the entire spirit of the song, affirming the need for freedom, excitement, and a break from routine.
Overall, "Come Fly with Me" represents a longing for adventure, love, and an escape from the ordinary. It encourages listeners to embrace the thrill of exploring new places, immersing themselves in new cultures, and embracing the liberating feeling of being in the air.
