great track :)for those who are practising for LDs it really helps to try to remember your dreams (good help for this is dream journal) it makes them more vivid.when your dreams are extremely vivid start to watch on reality "is this dream or reality" and for example try to push your hand throught a wall or watch your hands:how many fingers.if you have 15 fingers or you can push ur hand throught a wall u are dreaming.do that every day in reality and one day you you will notice that u are dreaming

well on the concept of sleep paralysis, there are two kinds, the good and the bad kind. The good kind, where your body enters the paralysis and has no other effects, or the bad kind where you hear noises and feel like an evil presence is in the room with you. Now you shouldn't worry about the bad kind, just remember it's not real, it can't hurt you. There was a way to get out of it easily but i forget what it is lol. Don't let this stop you from lucid dreaming, it rarely happens.

@Sofiuh you can start by getting a dream journal. lucid dreaming is very real. you just have to practice :)

I agree, one's frame of mind is extremely important to the quality of hallucination they will have, and what they will gain from it. And if the hallucination should happen to be unpleasant, it is better to try to seek understanding, or even just be passively observant, than to give in to fear. I also believe one of the most useful skills to learn in this regard is how to recognize a dream for what it is, while you are in one. Lucid dreaming is almost like magic, and anything is possible.

Aye, another term for that is hypnagogia / transition into the dreamworld. Everyone goes through it every time they fall asleep but only by staying lucid does one remember the experience. I've experienced it twice... once going into a dream, once coming out of one, and it's very bizzare and definitely can be frightening. Most important thing to remember is it isn't "real" and try to enjoy the ride. :)

Heh, I suppose the question of what is 'real' could be debated endlessly, but I don't mean to discuss philosophy. :P What I mean is that hypnagogia is much like a dream. All the sensations are there -- sight, sound, touch, etc, and they are just as convincing as they are when you're awake. Given how powerful the the experience can be, it can be frightening if one does not realize that they're just in a dream, or in this case on the edge of a dream. :)
