Lord, let your glory fill this house
As we lift up our hands in praise in praise
Lord, let your presence fill the house
Lord, let your presence fill the house
Lord, let your glory fill the house
Lord, let your glory fill the house
Lord, let your glory fill the house
Lord, let your glory fill the house
Lord, let your glory fill this house
Lord, let your glory fill this house
As we lift up our hands in praise in praise
Lord, let your glory fill this house
Lord, let your glory fill this house
We're waiting on you
Waiting on you
Let your glory fill the house
We're waiting on you
Waiting on you
Lord, let your glory fill the house
Lord, let your glory fill the house
We're waiting on you
Waiting on you
Let your glory fill this house
We're waiting on you
Waiting on you
Lord, let your glory fill this house
Fill the house, fill the house
Fill the house, fill the house
Fill the house, fill the house
Fill the house, fill the house
Fill the house, fill the house
Fill the house, fill the house
Fill the house, fill the house
Fill the house, fill the house
Fill the house, fill the house
Fill the house, fill the house
Fill the house, fill the house
Fill the house, fill the house
Hallelujah
Oh, Lord, fill the house
Filled with your known true love
Filled with your presence
In the name of Jesus
Thank you for your presence
Thank you for the joy, unspeakable joy
Full of glory, oh, what feel you like glory of God
I feel you, I feel your presence
We are not talking about a building
Talking about, you know, man
The meaning, meaning, let's say meaning
Fill this house, feel this to have a knuckle
I don't want to do like I used to do
I don't want to walk like I used to walk
Fill this house
Hallelujah
In this Shirley Caesar's song "Fill This House", the lyrics primarily call upon the Lord to fill the house with His presence and glory as the congregation lifts their hands in praise. The repetition of the phrase "Lord, let your glory fill this house" emphasizes the importance of the tangible presence of God in the gathering. The song also includes a message of waiting on God - as the choir repeats the phrase "we're waiting on you" - indicating that they are willing to remain patient as they seek the presence of the Lord.
The song emphasizes that filling the house is not merely about having a physical building but that the house should signify human beings, therefore there is a need for God to manifest Himself in human lives, as the lyrics state "We are not talking about a building, talking about, you know, man". It also mentions that the presence of God brings joy and a feeling of glory.
