Moses was a child of destiny,
From the very beginning of his life, Moses was meant for greatness, to bring honor and praise to God.

just to bring glory and honor to the king
His destiny was to bring honor and glory to the true King of all, God, and not to earthly rulers.

When he was a child
Even as a child, God had a plan for Moses' life.

He was taken from the Nile
God protected Moses from Pharaoh's decree to kill all Israelite baby boys by having him placed in the Nile River, where he was found by the Pharaoh's daughter.

Moses—the deliverer
Moses was chosen by God to deliver His people from slavery and oppression.

Moses saw a burning bush
God revealed Himself to Moses through a supernatural and miraculous event, which got his attention.

and then he heard a sound
God spoke audibly to Moses, showing His personal interest in his life and in the situation of the Israelites.

A voice spoke from the bush
God spoke to Moses in a way that showed His power and his control over creation. The seemingly insignificant bush was used to make a profound statement.

and said you're standing on holy ground
God's presence made the place where Moses stood sacred and consecrated. It reminds Moses that he is in the presence of the Almighty God who called him.

Go back to Egypt and set my people free
God gave Moses a clear call and mission to set the Israelites free from their bondage in Egypt. Moses was to be His instrument of deliverance.

Moses went back to Pharaoh
Moses obeyed God's call and faced the powerful Pharaoh, unafraid and determined to fulfill his mission.

with no fear in his heart
Moses' confidence was in his God who sent him, and not in his own strength or in the power of Pharaoh.

You've got to let the people go
Moses boldly and unwaveringly demanded that Pharaoh release the Israelites, making clear that this was God's command.

This is a command from God
Moses asserted that his mission was not from human origin or authority but from God, the King over Pharaoh and over all things.

The Lord hardened his heart
God allowed Pharaoh's heart to be hardened, as a means of showing His great power and as a judgment on Pharaoh's sin and rebellion.

and he wouldn't let them depart
Pharaoh stubbornly refused to let the Israelites go, even when he saw the plagues and signs of God's judgment on Egypt.

Pharaoh decided to set the people free
Eventually, Pharaoh realized the power of God and relented, allowing the Israelites to leave Egypt.

But when they go down to the Red Sea
As soon as the Israelites left Egypt, they faced another obstacle in the form of the sea that was in front of them, seemingly preventing them from escaping.

Pharaoh's army was behind them
Pharaoh changed his mind and pursued the Israelites with his army, determined to bring them back to slavery.

So God performed a miracle,
God showed His power and love for His people by performing a supernatural and miraculous act of parting the sea, making a way for the Israelites to escape and be saved.

the waters departed for the children of Israel
God allowed the Israelites to walk on dry ground through the divided sea, miraculously protected and provided for by Him.

Let the people go,
The repeated demand from God, through Moses, for Pharaoh to release His people from slavery.

Pharaoh I'm sending Moses as my voice
God sent Moses as His personal representative, the one who spoke on God's behalf and carried out His mission.

Pharaoh, Moses my deliverer
Moses was the one chosen by God to deliver His people, the one who pointed to the ultimate Deliverer, Jesus Christ.
