Promised Land
Silent Force Lyrics

Not in the place that I wish to stay
I knew from the time that I seen her face
Nothing was said as I felt her embrace
Ripped apart piece by piece away
Emotion will hide what I want to say
Taste the passion, choking in my throat
With all the motion she has provoked
Take My hand,
Lead me into the Promised Land
It's in her voice
Letting myself become free
Take my hand
Lead me into the Promised Land
From her voice, lets me become free
The dazzling effect she has in her eyes
Fulfilling my strength, this is when I could die
This is the time; she's taking me now
Feeling inside I have earned this somehow
Smile upon my face again
Lifts this weight, Rids my disgrace
Why has this taken so long?
Now is my time, I'm going home
The song "Promised Land" by Silent Force has a poignant message of finding solace and hope in someone else, even when everything else seems to be against you. The lyrics depict a person who is struggling to accept their current situation and desires to be somewhere else. The singer finds comfort in the embrace of someone else, giving them the courage to continue on.
The first verse sets the theme, with the singer feeling trapped in a place they wish to leave. They find solace in someone else, whose presence provides an emotional refuge from their troubles. The experience is so incredible that they feel as if they are being torn apart, yet they still choose to hide their emotions. The passion stirred in them by this person is choked up in their throat, yet they are helpless to resist the feelings they evoke.
In the chorus, the singer implores this person to take their hand and lead them to a "promised land," which is a place of freedom and happiness. Through the power of her voice, he is able to let go of his worries and become free. The second verse is a celebration of this newfound freedom, with the singer feeling empowered and ready to face whatever challenges may come.
Overall, "Promised Land" is a powerful anthem about the transformative power of love and connection. It speaks to anyone who has ever felt trapped or hopeless, reminding them that there is always hope and light at the end of the tunnel.
