Me, I'm receptive, and for that I don't need sympathy
Is it too much for you to come and meet me in between?
One foot out the door, I know you usually don't play for keeps
(Ohh) I came alone, you're close to the edge
If I let go, how close will you get?
Well, every piece of me held on to you when I pulled away
But I can't stay, I can't stay
Though I can't always see the other side
Some days I couldn't face you
So I went collecting stones from many different tides
But it won't stop me from walking as tall as I am
I can't wonder why, whatever keeps you up at night doesn't wake me up too
And that's not a letter goodbye
But I can't take your hand if you don't want this life
I'm never scared to tell you everything I want to be
Me, I'm receptive, and for that I don't need sympathy
Is it too much for you to come and meet me in between?
One foot out the door, I know you usually don't play for keeps
(Ohh) I came alone, you're close to the edge
If I let go, how close will you get?
Well, every piece of me held on to you when I pulled away
But I can't stay, I can't stay
Our energies fight to find a middle ground
Stable now, fastened with shoestrings
And I want you to know, it's okay
It won't break me if it is you that I'm losing
Cause it's been the best thing for me to spend my time with you
You are the sound of the birds and the morning due
You are the sun shinning down to make the flowers bloom
And I could go tomorrow, knowing it was always you
Promise that I'm on my way to you
This is a never ending rollercoaster I must say
I'm taking my chances and learning to follow through
All the money in the world can't make me feel the same
I promise that I'm on my way to you
And I'll do the best I can to give you every part of me
Even when you tell me there's nothing I can do
And I'll be happy even if you don't decide to stay
I'm never scared to tell you everything I want to be
Me, I'm receptive, and for that I don't need sympathy
Is it too much for you to come and meet me in between?
One foot out the door, I know you usually don't play for keeps
(Ohh) I came alone, you're close to the edge
If I let go, how close will you get?
Well, every piece of me held on to you when I pulled away
But I can't stay, I can't stay
Cause it's been the best thing for me to spend my time with you
You are the sound of the birds and the morning due
You are the sun shinning down to make the flowers bloom
And I could go tomorrow, knowing it was always you
The lyrics to "Keep On" by Simon & Eliza describe a conflicted relationship where one person is willing to be vulnerable and open about their desires and aspirations, while the other person is hesitant and unsure about committing fully. The singer expresses their fearlessness in sharing their ambitions and being receptive to the other person, stating that they don't need sympathy. They ask if it's too much for the other person to meet them halfway and abandon their usual tendencies of not playing for keeps. The singer acknowledges their own internal struggle of wanting to hold on to the relationship, but realizing they can't stay because they can't see the other side and some days they couldn't face the other person. Despite this, they still hope to save the relationship. Throughout the song, there is a sense of longing to be understood, accepted, and loved.
The lyrics also touch upon the idea of finding a middle ground and stability in the relationship. The singer recognizes the fight between their energies to find that balance, but they assure the other person that it's okay if they end up losing each other because it won't break them. They express their deep connection to the other person, describing them as the sound of birds, the morning dew, and the sun that makes flowers bloom. The singer promises to do their best to give every part of themselves, even if the other person tells them there's nothing they can do. They declare that they'll be happy even if the other person doesn't decide to stay, emphasizing that they are never scared to express their true selves.

Sorry, one of my lights was defective and I had to get it replaced under warranty so I couldn't film for 2 weeks.

Sounds like a game for really smart kids. I'd probably forget the pattern after the 3rd light.

You’d be surprised what you can accomplish. I think with enough practice you could set a really high score. Also don’t forget that intelligence comes in many forms. I’m pretty good with numbers, but there are some really talented painters out there who can create wonderful works of art while not being math nerds like myself. I’m not any smarter than those people; we’re just smart in different ways.
