Sizzla, along with reggae recording artists such as Capleton, Buju Banton, and Anthony B, are credited with leading a movement toward a re-embracement of Rastafarian values in contemporary reggae music by recording material which is concerned primarily with spirituality, social consciousness, explores common themes, such as Babylon's corrupting influence, the disenfranchisement of ghetto youth, oppression of the black nation and Sizzla's abiding faith in Jah and resistance against perceived agents of oppression. Sizzla has over 40 full completed albums sold in record stores to date, the most popular which have been "Black Woman & Child" and "Da Real Thing" on the Digital B label, "Praise Ye Jah" on Xterminator, and "Rise to the Occasion" on Greensleeves.
Recently, however, he has come under fire for the homophobic content of many of his lyrics, and the advocacy of violence against gays.

The lyrics of Sizzla's song "Kings of the Earth" call for a self-reflection and upliftment among humanity, particularly the black community. The song begins with a reference to Emmanuel, a name used to refer to Jesus Christ or Haile Selassie I, the former emperor of Ethiopia and a revered figure in Rastafarianism. The lyrics talk about being cleansed from the "Egypt hell," which could refer to the oppression and slavery experienced by black people.
The chorus reminds the listeners of their responsibilities as "Kings of the Earth" and warns against chasing every skirt (a reference to promiscuity and infidelity), emphasizing the importance of meditation and preparing the future generation. The lyrics also touch on the issues of sexism and classism within the black community, with Sizzla questioning Babylon, defined as "confusion," and advocating for the empowerment of black women and girls.
In verse two, Sizzla urges his listeners to be mindful of their actions and to stop engaging in harmful behaviors such as violence and objectification of women. He also stresses the importance of self-reflection and being aligned with Ethiopian (black) identity. The final verse emphasizes the need for unity and vision, and references the teachings of Marcus Garvey, a Jamaican political leader and activist who advocated for black nationalism and pan-Africanism.
Overall, "Kings of the Earth" is a powerful call to action, urging listeners to take responsibility for their actions and work towards uplifting themselves and their community, particularly the black youth.

I personally disagree. 'War' was talking of an equal nation between everybody. I say again, EQUALITY BETWEEN ALL PEOPLE.
Now SIZZLA , here is talking about the UP LIFTMENT of the Hebrew African nation of KINGS and QUEENS. Strictly these people no one else. There cannot be influence between the two. As one is focusing on equal, whilst the other is completely focusing on one nation.. Can you see?
So there is that point. Also just I personal opinion SIZZLA music always just has a RAW ness , the rawness its not interested in EQUALITY as such. Its main FIRE AND SOUL is UPlifting Those of us who have the power. He is reminding us of OUR Power and Strength .
Now I can't re call a song by Bob that has such an energy, an energy who's FOCUS is calling Hebrew people to RISE not EVERY NATION .... Sight it??
Love and risings brother
