Surrounded by fjords, forests, and mountains, she began writing music and playing guitar at a very young age. On this little island, she grew up experiencing total freedom and the feeling of belonging somewhere. Very attached to the astonishing and sometimes brutal nature around her, she has realized that the nature inside and the one surrounding her can be similar sometimes. Just like you can experience all four seasons in one day if you travel to the west coast of Norway, she can relate to feeling exuberantly lively and cheerful one minute and almost explosively emotional the next. In these oscillations, friction arises and often results in a flood of inspiration and creativity, which sources her urge to write music.

Skaar Lyrics
I’m so afraid
Of feeling the feelings that I feel when I get home
Broken like sugar
Pieces of memories
They make me feel all-alone..
And when I’m falling down, your smile is entertaining
Fly me to the sun and let me stay there
The shadows from the sky will keep me cool
Redirecting blood from inner organs
Let me feel what I want to feel
I’m getting scared
Scared of the shadows in the corners of your eyes
Your getting closer
Rotating stars are fading
But they will keep me alive
And when I’m falling down, your smile is entertaining
Fly me to the sun and let me stay there
The shadows from the sky will keep me cool
Redirecting blood from inner organs
Let me feel what I want to feel
Drain the world from pain
Turn to face your inner brain
Trapped inside a star
Here is no more love to trace
But on the bright side
I’m still alive
Drain the world from love
Turn to face your inner pain
Parents get undressed
Just another boring day
But on the bright side
I’m still alive
Eyeballs filled with sand
We need to disappear
Children eating guns
Baby piglets growing beards
But on the bright side
I’m still alive
Mind and body trapped
The fires getting cold
They will never disappear
All the stories that you told
But on the bright side
I’m still alive
Fly me to the sun and let me stay there
The shadows from the sky will keep me cool
Redirecting blood from inner organs
Let me feel what I want to feel
Of feeling the feelings that I feel when I get home
Broken like sugar
