1) UK ebm/industrial
2) German sludge/doom metal
1) Manchester centered project SkinjoB was originally formed by founder members 'Fitz' and artist 'Manns' back in 1991 when they set out to produce 'post modern industrial dance' in the days of frontline assembly, nitzer ebb, ministry, skinny puppy and former 'revco' guitarist trent reznor's then new band, Nine Inch Nails.
The inspiration for the name 'SkinjoB' was Ridley Scott's seminal movie, 'Bladerunner' and is the slang term for the 'replicants' in the movie. Interestingly, the term has recently resurfaced to refer to the Cylons in Battlestar Galactica.
Time moves on as do people and SkinjoB became the solo project of Fitz which for a time went lightly touched, however in 2005 the studio was significantly upgraded and the project has undergone serious development over the last few years into the modern electronica / ebm / industrial direction with a focus initially on remixing while new original material is developed for the planned upcoming album.
With numerous remixes to his credit, two of which for prestigious German bands XPQ-21 and KiEw have appeared on CDs in the top 10 of the infamous German DAC chart (and one hitting position 19 of the German Native 25 chart), Fitz incessantly works to iterate and develop the SkinjoB distinctive style of electronic music while slowly gaining the respect of his peers. His style is constantly developed and improved with each project, and is often found gracing the playlists of clubs and alternative radio shows around the world. Imminent upcoming releases feature SkinjoB remixes alongside scene heavyweights such as Combichrist and Imperative Reaction, but new original SkinjoB material will shortly be released and appear as a force in it's own right, to be initially found on upcoming compilations in prelude to the album.
The live sound is presently under heavy development along with writing of brand new album material. Various live musicians will be contributing to the SkinjoB live line up in 2007 and beyond.

When they told you what you should believe
Paranoid to spell out
The words that you used to deceive
Don't complicate me
Recriminate me
Don't suffocate me
Don't imitate me
You desecrate me
Don't hesitate...
You want me dead
What have I done to you?
Why do I need you?
Who do you call devout
When you don't trust anything you perceive
Self-delusion is all about
Not knowing when your world is misconceived
Don't complicate me
Recriminate me
Don't suffocate me
Would you see me dead?
Don't imitate me
You desecrate me
Don't hesitate...
You'd see me dead
You want me dead
You want me dead
What have I done to you?
Why do I need you?
You want me dead
You want me dead
You want me dead
What have I done to you?
You want me dead
Why do I need you?
The lyrics to Skinjob's song "Hate" explore themes of betrayal, paranoia, and the desire for revenge. In the first verse, the singer questions whether the other person's hostility towards them was caused by the seeds of doubt that were planted in their mind by outside influences. The singer also accuses the other person of being paranoid and using deceitful language to manipulate others. The chorus then boldly declares that the other person wants them dead, and asks why they feel this way. The second verse delves deeper into the topic of self-delusion and how it can lead to misconceived ideas about the world. The chorus repeats, emphasizing the other person's desire for the singer's demise, and ending with another question about why they feel this way.
Overall, the song seems to be about the feeling of being betrayed by someone who was once trusted, and the overwhelming desire for revenge that can ensue. The lyrics suggest that the other person is projecting their own insecurities and fears onto the singer, causing distrust and hostility to develop. The music itself reflects this tense and aggressive mood, with heavy guitar riffs and pounding drums creating a sense of urgency and anger.
